Thanks! Yep, the main gimmick with these big ships of mine is creating space
(or mass) without using tons of pieces (especially grey). The use of BURPS,
castle walls, and baseplates keeps the overall weight of the ship down. As I
said, I think a carrier lends itself to being light for it's size because
it's largest section is hollow. The surface detailing helps to create
texture on the ship, although I wish I had more grey tiles here and there.
The A-Wing carrier also had it but didn't show up as well in the pictures as
it did for Gibraltar. Interior work is progressing...
