Hyperion is complete —Jason E. Baker
Our newest addition to the fleet has been completed. Please take a look at it's Unclassified Databank. It's I.E. 5 only (sorry non i.e. browsers (1)). This is my first try at (homemade) dynamic html and javascript. (Watch the back button) Please (...) (24 years ago, 24-Mar-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.announce) !!

Re: Hyperion is complete —Kyle D. Jackson
(...) [snip] (...) Dude, wow, that was neat! What's with the secret stash in the Captain's Ready Room? I found the fish-eye stuff a little diorienting, both for navigation and for detail viewing. I think I got space-sick in the Arboreum, sorry 'bout (...)          Re: Hyperion is complete —Jason E. Baker
(...) Thanks Well it was gonna be a secret escape hatch, but then i thought that'd be a cowardly captain to use it.. so i stashed some treasure in there (...) That's ok, good place for it as long as it was all natural :) (...) I intended to do some (...) (24 years ago, 26-Mar-01, to lugnet.space)

Re: Hyperion is complete —Trevor Pruden
(...) Standing ovation.... I am speechless. Truly I am. Jeb, you have outdone yourself, again! :^O WOW! I personally would have prefered no fish eye lens, but I still saw a lot of detail. I really liked how you included the upper sub-light engines - (...) (24 years ago, 25-Mar-01, to lugnet.space)

Re: Hyperion is complete —Jason E. Baker
(...) Thanks Trev, i greatly appreciate it. (...) Yea i'm not as happy with the fish-eye as i had hoped but it was neat for me to get farther inside the ship (almost mini-fig eye level). hehe didn't intend for the morgue look (but that's what i saw (...)          Re: Hyperion is complete —Kenneth A. Drumm, Ph.D.
I want to say nice ship, and nice design. Alas the "Tour" isnt working correctly for me. I did get my fill and feel of the ship from the rest of the site (gallery and construction). -- Kenneth A. Drumm Ph.D. (24 years ago, 26-Mar-01, to lugnet.space)

Re: Hyperion is complete —Lindsay Frederick Braun
Wow! Two great big ships in one weekend! (...) I should ask you at some point about your experiences--I'm in the process of trying to write dynamic HTML and use java applets to get a decent webpage up and running. Now that I can use MLcad and (...) (24 years ago, 25-Mar-01, to lugnet.space)

Re: Hyperion is complete —Jason E. Baker
(...) <snip> (...) Wow, well put, thanks, i was afraid with the vertical size of it that, that the shape would be overlooked. (...) Thanks, i really like the use of the pixellation technique, i like the repetitive building of it (lots of time spent (...) (24 years ago, 26-Mar-01, to lugnet.space)

Re: Hyperion is complete —Kevin Blocksidge
(...) About the tour, I seem to be missing something. Not only that once I enter crew quarters 221 and 222, I cant seem to get out, I can only go to the fisrt and secong floor. Does anyone else have this problem? And how do you get to the 3rd, 4th, (...) (24 years ago, 25-Mar-01, to lugnet.space)

Re: Hyperion is complete —Kyle D. Jackson
(...) G'day Kevin, I did pretty much a full tour, so maybe I can help out. Whenever you're in an elevator, there is a little panel in the middle. There are two tiny red buttons on the right of the panel. If you put your mouse there it will say "Up" (...) (24 years ago, 25-Mar-01, to lugnet.space)

Re: Hyperion is complete —Mark Sandlin
(...) Hey Jason, Excellent details! I think the VTOL shuttle is very nice as well. Love the cockpit. Nice work with all the little opening hatches and stowable hoses and stuff. ~Grand Admiral Muffin Head (24 years ago, 25-Mar-01, to lugnet.space)

Re: Hyperion is complete —Joel Jacobsen
(...) That's really slick, Jason. The tour is a nice touch, though I found it a little confusing at first, till I got used to it. One of the shuttles uses one of the UCS Xwing cockpits doesn't it? That's kinda what it looks like at least. I like the (...) (24 years ago, 26-Mar-01, to lugnet.space)

Re: Hyperion is complete —Daniel Jassim
(...) Amazing! I am totally in awe! I've been anticipating this baby's completion and it was worth the wait. What a big ship! And detailed, too! I've checked out the detail gallery and exterior shots so far. Didn't take the tour (my computer and (...) (24 years ago, 26-Mar-01, to lugnet.space)

Re: Hyperion is complete —Paul Hanson
(...) Wow, this is a great ship. The design is unique and looks awesome. I'm amazed by the picture that shows all of the cargo & support vehicles out in front of the ship - there's a lot of stuff in there! Nice! - Paul (24 years ago, 27-Mar-01, to lugnet.space)

Re: Hyperion is complete —John D. Forinash
(...) After hearing the rave reviews, I gotta ask if you can toss some pictures up on a browser-non-specific site. Sitting on the wrong end of an SGI Indy, I don't even have IE5 as an option... -JDF (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.space)

Re: Hyperion is complete —John D. Forinash
(...) This thing is pretty cool. It's large, it's not graceful... the nose of the thing reminds me something of an Earth Force Omega destroyer (which is odd, since in that universe Hyperion wasn't one of those and looked notably different...) The (...) (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.space)
