    Moonbase! Need Help! —Rick Hallman
   Hello! I have recently decided for next years 4-H fair project (Pictures of the Villiage People coming soon) to build a 30" x 90" moonbase. Now, the hard part is 1) getting the lego pieces. I need truckloads of white and grey pieces, maybe 1 less (...) (24 years ago, 19-Aug-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, lugnet.technic)

      Although I never thought to check the county fair, the festival that my city puts on over the 4th of july weekend also has a Lego Building contest. Although one problem is that a lot (most?) of the structure of a *Lunar* base would be underground: a Mars base might be easier, since I would expect most of it to be on the surface. Some kinds of radiation, which can be dangerous if you are exposed to them for long periods of time, can only be shielded by large quantities of dense (...)
