  Re: Space Cargo Container Standard?

(...) I'd think this would work simply by replacing the front set of turntables (2x2 plate, 3680C01.DAT) with 2x2 plates (3022.DAT). The automated engine ought to be fine with turntables on both the front and back. On "real" cargo container trains (...) (22 years ago, 30-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)

  Re: New MOC- Pirate APC

Cool! I, too, like the colors, and the shape and size. Very swoosh-along-the-floor-able. The stack of 2x2 dishes reminds me of a bellows - like giving it a good bop would launch some ordnance. James Wilson Dallas, TX (22 years ago, 30-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Re: Space Cargo Container Standard?

(...) Reading your post it comes to my mind: I tried this as child to save wheels and therefore to build as many cars as possible, but the axles got stuck between the tracks. (22 years ago, 30-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Space Cargo Container Standard?

(...) real life application. Has anyone built this and tested it on trian curves and switches? I think you may hav a problem keeping the single axle from having a mind of its own... (22 years ago, 30-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Cybermen

(...) Looks a bit too solidly built for Who :) Peter (22 years ago, 30-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Cybermen

(...) Quick, get the powdered gold! Nice corridor, too, very Whovian. Thanks, George (22 years ago, 30-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)

  Cybermen

An apparent breach of moonbase security. The Cybermen will enjoy their new moonbase, in the usual way that Cybermen enjoy things, using them in a scheme to invade and/or destroy the Earth. (URL) Another use of the "Dalek" part. I made the corridor (...) (22 years ago, 30-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)

  Re: New Hovercar: "Coyote"

(...) Thanks, Lenny. Actually, that went from concept to finished product rather quickly, which does'nt happen often for me. The windshield hinge was the only major design challenge. Ain't serendipity great. Later, Todd (22 years ago, 30-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)

  Re: New MOC- Pirate APC

(...) snip Very good moc. I like the colors, the slick exterior and the precise detailing. What I think is really missing are headlights. Does it have a detailed underside, to? I also had a close look at your other great mocs in your gallery. I must (...) (22 years ago, 30-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Crane

(...) My design covers the crane part, and could easily mix&match with your design. Pictures and short descriptions can be found at (URL). Yours, Christian (22 years ago, 30-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)

  New MOC- Pirate APC

Not much of a name, I know. (URL) (Click on the image, my puppet! Click it!) There's no real interior, I focused mostly on the exterior while building. The half-stud plate to the left of the hatch is for mounting weapons, but at the time of these (...) (22 years ago, 30-Mar-04, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Re: That old set FEELING...

(...) Uh, actually I've just realised that I was mistaken as to the definition of the word dinky. I didn't realise it meant small or insignificant. What I meant was it looked like an old-fashioned toy, like a Dinky(TM) Toy. (2 URLs) Cheers, (URL) (...) (22 years ago, 30-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Space Cargo Container Standard?

I added an automated locomotive unit to the gallery : (URL) it is in action : (URL) (22 years ago, 30-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)

Re: Open the pod bay doors, HAL.

This is beautiful Jason, the type of thing that personally makes me love Lego. And it's not only about the design, but about how to show it, how you organize your thinking of this, how you create a system of form and thought that also truly honors (...)   Re: Stowed-armament fighter and police skycar

(...) I rather like the design of the lizard. Pop out weapons are a favorite of mine. Not a huge fan of lime green but you mananged to make it look pretty decent. Nice functionality built in as well. -Steve McDonough (22 years ago, 29-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Space Cargo Container Standard?

(...) Wow, that's a very nice and versatile system! I like the way the endcaps work, functionally and aesthetically. One thing I'm not so keen on is the doors on the side. One, they cast the impression that the container is structurally weak on that (...) (22 years ago, 29-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Space Cargo Container Standard?

Thanks : ) I've added a few more Ldraw files to my brickshelf gallery including a half-TEU which is 8x8 with the end covers removed. Several people mentioned it would be useful so here you go: (URL) after moderation: (URL) still working on a (...) (22 years ago, 29-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)

Re: Stowed-armament fighter and police skycar

(...) In the first picture, the simple wedge shape seems a little bland- but that shot angle hides the shaping you have on the sides. The big curvy bits and detailing on the side sections dress it up pretty well which shows better in the side shot. (...) (22 years ago, 29-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

In lugnet.space, Wayne McCaul wrote: snip (...) Cool, thanks for the additional info! I guess in the end it's more a matter of preference as it is commonly referred to with and without the 'I'. (...) I've actually prototyped a bit of it. My biggest (...) (22 years ago, 29-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)
