I made this fighter quite some time ago as my first use of 3x12 wedge slopes.
At meetings this is the favourite with the kids, the stowed-weapon function
makes it very playable. The canopy was originally trans-red, more recently I
acquired a different one which went really well with the colour scheme. The
photos are a little over-saturated, lime green really looks OK in real life
:-)

In the first picture, the simple wedge shape seems a little bland- but that shot
angle hides the shaping you have on the sides. The big curvy bits and detailing
on the side sections dress it up pretty well which shows better in the side
shot. And, of course, when the sides pop out it really shines. Your
functionality rocks- didnt you just mention playability in small ships? The
hinging mechanism looks like it works pretty well. My complaints from before
are reflected here, though- you have some gaps behind the canopy (which works
for you because you do a lot with staggering surfaces to add texture), but you
also have some gaps below the nose of the canopy. You filled it out with SNOT,
which seems to be the only way to do it, and that is my complaint about the
part.

This one was obviously inspired by the Moller Skycar:

I dont know if youve posted this before, but I never saw it. This thing is
great! I particularly like your solution for the gaps below the canopy nose-
this fills the angled sections very simply and very well. And overall, you
integrated a number of odd new parts in very effective ways.
