Hey Ryan, very cool P-38 there!  The shape is excellent and very accurate
for the Cylon Raider.

One suggestion would be a change of canopy.  Although the one you used is
more P-38 like, take a look at this one.  Might help to keep the shape of
Raider better.  I just recently got this one and really like the look you
can achieve with it.

Great stuff!

First off, I hope all you .spacers out there enjoyed your weekends, and I • wish
you have a productive week.

This has been a busy weekend for me. On Friday afternoon I kicked myself • out of
my post-PDX funk and set myself a goal: build {at least} two entries for • the
P-38 contest.

Here's the first product of a weekend of work, what I envision a Cylon • P-38
Lightning would look like:

It was originally grey w/ dark grey highlights, but during construction • the ship

Please let me know what you think! I'm interested in any and all
comments/criticism about the ship! I learned a lot of things about • building
while at PDX, and put a couple techniques to use here (g-snot made most of • it
possible.)

(...) Greg, thanks man. I love your suggestion. If ever I slip one of those cockpits into a Bricklink order, I'll be sure to try it out on this ship. --Ryan W. (21 years ago, 23-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)
