Hey, all.  Yes, I'm alive, and to prove it, I've posted a new moc in my
uncompleted new website.  (Give it a few seconds to load.)

http://creations.jhkruer.com/?m=firebird

I built some of it at music camp over the summer.
I've also gotten a new camera, which is really great but still a bit new to me,
so some of these images are a bit over-exposed.

PLMKWYT!

DUDE! You have grown into THE premere teen builder. This is just a classy MOC. Studless, greebly and a super clean shape. Awesome intakes. Keep it space my man. Enjoy the next level. (URL) Admiral Giddens <>< (URL) space. (21 years ago, 23-Aug-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Wow, pretty darned cool there! Nice job onthe ship all around, but I really like the intake grilles and the general shape. And teh over exposure actually works for me..some of the pics look CGI, which I find pretty cool in this case! Great (...) (21 years ago, 23-Aug-03, to lugnet.space)

Dude......... I love this ship! I love how clean the ship is yet, it has a odd ugliness to it. the front end looks out of place with the massive engines! I like! the intakes on the engines themselves are cool in their own right. The two forward (...) (21 years ago, 23-Aug-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)
  Re: New Moc: The Firebird

(...) Dude, absolutely beautiful. So clean and greebled in all the right places. Like Jon, love the grille tiles inside the quarter panels. And the interior is really sweet - this ship almost looks like it was built from the inside out, if you know (...) (21 years ago, 23-Aug-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) unmodded brickshelf folder? In a word: superlative! I don't think Giddens meant anything by it, but no qualifications are necessary here -- age doesn't matter. It's a great, great MOC no matter who built it or under what circumstances. That it (...) (21 years ago, 23-Aug-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) You did well with the studless look. I like the red with grille tiles on the engine intakes. -Grand Admiral and Keeper of Fleebnorks (URL) "Adopt a fleebnork. They're DYING!" -Sally Struthers (21 years ago, 23-Aug-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) JHK you are the greatest, dude! The exterior is absolutely superb, and as others have noted, the grilles in the engines are perfect. The interior is great - as I have said before you can't beat a tiled floor! Your greebs are great but I fount (...) (21 years ago, 23-Aug-03, to lugnet.space)

Man this is an awesome ship! I especially like the studless appearance. Can't wait to see more like this! Great job! Greg "John Henry Kruer" <jhk@jhkruer.com> wrote in message news:HK1wrr.1GoL@lugnet.com... (...) to me, (...) (21 years ago, 23-Aug-03, to lugnet.space)

(...) This one time, at music camp, you built this ship. That is one rockin ship! I have to agree with Adm. Giddens that you are are becoming a great builder. Any chance of seeing the underside of it and the cockpit? Excelent work! Jamie (...) (21 years ago, 23-Aug-03, to lugnet.space)

Man this is smooth... like Billy D. Williams and the great taste of Colt.45. You are the premere builder with three letters for a name. Seriously though... I have to start with the privacy curtain on the head... damn funny... who wan'ts to drop (...) (21 years ago, 24-Aug-03, to lugnet.space)
  Re: New Moc: The Firebird

(...) Not bad John, but it looks kind of unfinished to me. Needs fins, or a tail, or something... the form's not interesting enough. I don't like the space wheels as nozzles either, doesn't cut it anymore IMO. Overall, just nowehere near as good as (...) (21 years ago, 25-Aug-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: New Moc: The Firebird

(...) Very nice! For some reason, the form looks like a submarine to me. I have to think about where I've seen this shape before. I may borrow your cockpit design for a larger terrestial vehicle. Or at least be inspired by it. Incidently, my middle (...) (21 years ago, 25-Aug-03, to lugnet.space)
  Re: New Moc: The Firebird

(...) I love the interiors. Something I haven't tried to incorperate into my creations. But...NO MORE. You have inspired me to build. Thanks for a great ship. Pat Bunn (21 years ago, 26-Aug-03, to lugnet.space)
  Re: New Moc: The Firebird

(...) JHK, this is amazing. Wazow. Having done a 'studless' ship, I am every so much more awed by them. Can't wait to see the next delightful confection! And hopefully I'll get a chance to see this thing in person! <evil smile> -Lenny (21 years ago, 26-Aug-03, to lugnet.space)
  Re: New Moc: The Firebird

(...) Excellent build. I disagree with previous posts - Just because the space wheels have been used as engines before doesn't make them work any less. I also like the use of the "Jolly Roger". Nice touch. I like to use the 2x2 round tile with (...) (21 years ago, 26-Aug-03, to lugnet.space)
