I love Pallas Spaceworks. Karim's work was the first time I saw the amazing
potential of raytracing as an end-result to LEGO CAD. Of course, I refuse
to use his work if we can't obtain his permission, though.
This sounds like a great place to start. I think it would give us a general
framework, as well as logical division of the sections based on splitting
Karim's dats into part collections. The attachment points between sections
could be dictated by the existing ones, scaled up, of course.

I'm not sure 1:6 will be large enough to accommodate enough detail... For
example, that would make the bridge "windscreen" found on Karim's capital
vessels only two bricks high. Another factor is, if you want to remain true
to Karim's designs, many of his cap ships carry auxilliary
spacecraft/support vessels. I feel the minifig scale version should be able
to hold full-size dats of those craft. I'll do some research and get back
to you with my scale recommendations.
Please, please, please do NOT let this idea die! This sounds like the best
"group-build" idea I've read of on the 'net. I am ready to participate
whenever you, as project leader, make the decision to start, and assign
sections to team members.
Looking anxiously forward to the launch of this project,
