I would like to know if anyone is interested in collaborating on a HUGE
starship MOC. The way it would works is this: I would sketch out a design on
paper, and post to an internet site of my own. I would then divide it into
sections by function, size, and/or location. Each section or similar
sections would be assigned to a different person or group. The sections
would be created in LDRAW. As each section is completed I will insert it
into the master model and post it to the site. The basic design I had in
mind was something similar in function to the Republic cruisers at the end
of SW Ep. II only smaller. More to come later.

(...) WOW!!!!! This sounds like something I *definitely* want to get in on! The only cautions I would state, are that the approximate scale and connections (studs only, TECHNIC-style pins, etc.) would have to be decided on, so the separate sections (...) (22 years ago, 7-Jul-02, to lugnet.space)

david <raptor222_@excite.com> wrote in message news:GyuoBt.4sC@lugnet.com... (...) How about we take one of Karim Nasser's excellent designs and scale then up to minifig size? (URL) rough scale might be 1:6. (i.e. one stud on the little ship equals (...) (22 years ago, 14-Jul-02, to lugnet.space)

(...) I know i'm a little late, but i'd also be interested in participating in this project. My only question is: Can a huge starship be built (once we all compine our setions) in MLCAD? I thought that only medium sized MOCs could be made in MLCAD. (...) (22 years ago, 15-Jul-02, to lugnet.space)

(...) That sounds interesting. When are you going to get a website for this, and/or scetch out the design? -JHK (22 years ago, 16-Jul-02, to lugnet.space)

  Re: A massive undertaking

(...) Interesting... Are you thinking we each make individual sections that fit into the whole, or are these sections just going to snap on to the spine of the ship ala the space station project. If you are going to base this on a set design, then (...) (22 years ago, 16-Jul-02, to lugnet.space)
