  Re: taking good photos

(...) True, it's hard to get a perfect day, especially if you don't have time to take pictures while it's light out. It's also more difficult to set up a backdrop or the perfect view angle. I usually take my photos indoors too, but then again my (...) (21 years ago, 20-May-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.publish.photography)

  Re: Asteroid Explorer

(...) Despite the color mixes, I do like your ship concepts, Zak (and if anything the color mixes make for an interesting style. Perhaps your faction builds ships of whatever space-stuff they can find?) But this conversation brings in another point. (...) (21 years ago, 20-May-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: PCS Gets a move on....

Oh my, this is the best one yet, very nice form (i know where you got it ;-) and the engines are very very cool as usual i'm really speechless. its not that there is so much to comment on in your mocs, as the fact that they really mesh together in (...) (21 years ago, 20-May-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Candiru

Ah very nice I see some sand green on there :-D like the engines and the various popout thingies but my fave detail is the grilles on the backs of the chairs (being the chair freak that I am) -p (...) (21 years ago, 20-May-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: taking good photos

(...) I've found that with properly arranged directional lighting, I can get very rich, colorful photos with excellent overall illumination. Outdoors gets tricky because sunny days will create stark shadows while overcast days will cause lots of (...) (21 years ago, 20-May-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.publish.photography)

  Re: taking good photos

(...) Since the focus range for your camera is 2 ft to infinity, you will need to place your camera at least two feet from whatever model you are taking a picture of in order to get a sharp photo. Since you have a pretty good optical zoom, that (...) (21 years ago, 20-May-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: taking good photos

(...) Please don't be offended, but looking at this picture: (URL) I would say that the problem is not your camera, but your technique. I have been struggling to improve my photography skills ever since I got a digital camera, and I find that 2/3 of (...) (21 years ago, 20-May-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: More Moonbase Madness ...

hiho, your pictures are looking well. So I downloaded the files from brickshelf, but some subparts are missing. Where can I get them?   Re: Asteroid Explorer

unlike most of my other ships this one is designed purely for space so streamlining isnt a propblem for me. i had to make the sides square to give it enough internal space though. here is an example of a more streamlined ship of mine (URL) my (...) (21 years ago, 20-May-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: A Promotion (several new MOCs)

(...) Nice shape on this. It reminds me of another ship, but I can't think what...? (...) Good stuff. I always like to see more "flying cars". (...) Needs a bit of grey on the front like a grille or something IMO, but a good use of those blue (...) (21 years ago, 20-May-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Terran Walker Tripod

(...) Geez, Sylvi, how did I ever miss this! This MOC is awesome! Getting ships, walkers, and other things into a tripod shape is difficult (at least for me), and you pulled it off very well! Love that canopy and the colors rock! The pilot of the (...) (21 years ago, 20-May-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  A Promotion (several new MOCs)

After learning from a post that the requirements to becoming an Admiral were quite easy (having something to do with jelly donuts), Nathan Wells, formally known as Lord Of The LEGO, wasted no time in whipping together some MOCs and promoting himself (...)   Re: Candiru

Kudos to both of you! My favorite little detail is the hidden belly guns. Question: What is the cargo pod looking thing in the middle here? (URL) most amazing part is that you were able to integrate both of your work into one model. That's the (...) (21 years ago, 19-May-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Candiru

(...) Interesting you should say that. My original sketch from which this was built had a bit of a tail on it. Maybe I'll try adding one and see how it looks. (...)
