  jain's guide reborn! (http://wildbrick.com)

Ok... Some of you may remember Jain's Guide, my attempt to promote story-telling and universe-building in the .space community. Well, it broke when my provider changed and I never got around to fixing it... (I'm so slack I haven't even built much (...)   Re: Parts Design Question

(...) Hi Leonard, I'm with Travis on this one. A small piece of paper sandwiched inbetween a turntable of any size will give you a good amount of friction. Felix (URL) (22 years ago, 16-May-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Parts Design Question

Travis, I tried a Lego rubber band around the center post and I it would not seal correctly. I also tried around the outer circle on the base with no increase in friction. Are you using a different rubber band or am I just doing it wrong? Thanks in (...) (22 years ago, 16-May-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Heavy-duty turntables.

Hi, I struggled with much the same issue on my capital ship. I wanted to replicate the Millenium Falcon concept of two accessible turrets. But by the time I was done the proportions seemed way off to me. The turrets were one fifth the length of the (...) (22 years ago, 16-May-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Terran Walker Tripod

Hey Sylvi, big...BIG...RED...AAAAAaargh I went through your website, there are a lot of different FRESH designs there! Somehow, your ships are different...and that's good.   Re: Terran Walker Tripod

Sylvi, you prolific space-kitten. The Tripod of death is very, very cool. The first thing that came to mind was that body-pod-harvesting atrocity in the Matrix. If you could make the tripod in black, and give it a big pod sack... don't mind me, I'm (...) (22 years ago, 16-May-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: Heavy-duty turntables.

(...) Is the Technic turntable sufficient? You used to be able to get those in the Space Shuttle, Airtech Claw Rig, etc.... today they sell them through Pitsco. Not sure what current Technic sets have them. VERY nice part. -Tim (22 years ago, 16-May-03, to lugnet.space)

  Heavy-duty turntables.

Due to the size of the weapons I'm employing on my rather huge (six-foot) capital ship, I find myself needing a turntable of much greater capacity than the ones produced by Lego. The weapons I am using are more than twenty studs long, six bricks (...) (22 years ago, 16-May-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Capital Ship II

  Re: CSS-Broadsword Cruiser

That ship is pretty cool. Overall, the color scheme is good, though perhaps a bit too busy, and somewhat uncoordinated. It's nice to see a ship without complete lateral symmetry (it makes its more realistic), however, I myself am too anal to forego (...) (22 years ago, 16-May-03, to lugnet.space)

Wolverine - Classic Space Missle Platform
