  Re: programming spybot

(...) Have you tried making the file extension of your program be ".rcx2" or ".lsc" yet? That's the only way BricxCC can tell it should use LCC32 rather than NQC to compile the file. Compiling MindScript code using NQC will definitely give you a (...) (22 years ago, 31-Aug-02, to lugnet.robotics.spybotics)

  Re: programming spybot

John many thanks for the fine info. I did set the LCC include path and checked the present of the globals.h and spybot.h files. Everything seems to be OK. Still I get the same error line 1 error parse error. Both versions of your program gave the (...) (22 years ago, 30-Aug-02, to lugnet.robotics.spybotics)

  Re: Spybotics To RCX Comm

That's what I was missing. I can build/convert a Spybot with a down-pointing light sensor & LED (I had one, but couldn't get it working) Thanks Steve ----- Original Message ----- From: "John Hansen" <JohnBinder@aol.com> Date: Thu, 29 Aug 2002 (...)   RE: Spybotics To RCX Comm

(...) Well, no. It's all in the mission customization screens in the actual Spybotics game CD. I haven't had a chance to play with the NQC stuff yet - I'm busy on another project. Cheers, Ralph (22 years ago, 29-Aug-02, to lugnet.robotics.spybotics)

  Re: Spybotics To RCX Comm

(...) That is not the way to simply turn on the laser LED. When you set motor C to forward the LED will commence sending VLL motor forward commands out the LED which, of course, will result in a flickering LED. The Scout worked the same way - the (...)   RE: Spybotics To RCX Comm

I might be wrong here, but I think you've almost got it figured out. I think the flickering is there becuase it gets turned off during regular comms or the IR range finding so that it doesn't get too confused! In otherwords, you can turn on the (...)   Re: Spybotics To RCX Comm

well, no. It's easy to get it to turn on, but it doesn't stay on. It flickers. I'm sure it can be controlled (because it's used to send data) but just using OnFwd(OUT_C); causes it to flicker.   Re: Spybotics To RCX Comm

Yes, I use NQC and BricxCC to program it. It's very simple, and I just set motor port C to forward Steve ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dean Husby" <nntp@akasa.bc.ca> Date: Thu, 29 Aug 2002 17:27:17 GMT To: lugnet.robotics.spyb...lugnet.com (...) I'm not sure if I'm setting it incorrectly, but it seems like the 'laser' on the spybot (motor out C) flickers, which is really bad when you're reading the light sensor.
