Maybe the simplest way for a one-shot effort would be if people were mailing
you/me notes and documentation for legOS parts, but it is this burden on few
people that I'd like to avoid: it should be easy to keep the docs updated
later.

Like I said, I don't mind editing- I find that reasonably simple and not
very time consuming. It's the rest of it that is more time-consuming. In
the meantime, as a stop-gap, I can probably set up a php based annotation
system tonight. I'll look into it.
