 | | Re: USB->Serial Converts and IR Tower
|
| (...) downloaded the latest drivers (Intel based). Also obtained a good troubleshooting doc to determine whether the S9 is configured correctly. Will gladly email to any interested. Problem: Having trouble getting the IR tower to talk to the RCX. I (...) (26 years ago, 12-Apr-00, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.robotics.rcx)

 | | Re: New TLC Mindstorms survey
|
| (...) Well, I had to respond to the survey - how could I not!!! More ports and more sensor choices was my main message. I must say, having built numerous active sensors for RCX, I don't think I'd class the interface as hard to live with. Its cheap - (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

 | | Re: What version for my rcx 1.5?
|
| (...) The brick version doesn't really mean a lot (other than that version 1.0 bricks had the external power jack). If you download the firmware from the 2.0 SDK then your 1.5 brick is an RCX 2.0 and it will work perfectly well with NQC, BricxCC (...) (24 years ago, 22-Oct-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

 | | QuiteC IR interfacing to lego firmware IR
|
| Hi, QuiteC's IR facilities are rudimentary. They send and receive single bytes. I need to be able to make it send and receive lego IR protocol messages for opcode 0xf7. I'm not having much luck. When I send a 0xf7 opcode with a message of 0x03 (...) (23 years ago, 3-Feb-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Looking at the source, I see that there is a possiblity that in the time between checking for a character with EKEY? and actually reading it with EKEY, that an error can (...) | | Re: RCX and GPS systems
|
| (...) It might be possible to run an IR transmitter directly off it, IIRC John Barnes posted a circuit diagram for that a while ago (he might also sell these things). Then you only need the software, where you need to send/receive single characters, (...) (24 years ago, 11-Oct-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

 | | Re: RCX <-> PC communication
|
| (...) Kaspar, There is a bug with serial towers with RCXPort in lejos 2.0. This causes the problem you are seeing. There is a fixed version in (URL) fixes RCXPort, but I haven't put the fix in the LNP versions yet. I only have a USB Tower, and (...) (24 years ago, 16-Sep-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.java)

 | | Re: RCX <-> PC communication
|
| (...) Lawrie Griffiths asked me to forward the following to you: RCXPort should be about twice as fast as RCXF7Port. Do you have a serial or USB tower? I am concerned that you don't get complete reliabilty with RCXPort - I do with a USB Tower. (24 years ago, 14-Sep-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.java)

 | | Re: Lightsensor

In other words, you can reliably determine when you are seeing a light or dark surface. Making sure that the sensor is close (5 mm or (...) (23 years ago, 4-Jan-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

 | | RE: Displaying info while debugging

It has its own problems, which include falling asleep after 2 seconds of inactivity. So, as far as I can (...) (24 years ago, 2-Jul-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth)
