When we were working on setting up independently controlled LEGO bots we found this site: (URL) is a program to download which uses standard gamepad controllers as inputs and sends IR signals out through a single LEGO IR tower to control up to (...)   Re: Using NQC with iBook

Okay, but don't I have to buy a second adapter so that the IR cable can fit in the Keyspan PDA adapter? Or like cut up and change positions of the IR-cable inputs? Or do I just have to buy an adapter, connect it, connect the IR tower, download NQC (...) (24 years ago, 28-Aug-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

That depends on the individual, both on how interested they'd be in owning one (not everybody would be), and how willing they are to have it tied up in robotic creations and unavailable for game play.   Re: NQC 2.1 b2 in beta test

(...) I remember discussing this briefly, but I don't think we ever came up with a final "spec" for the feature. Here are the issues I forsee: 1) The IR tower times out. NQC should probably do something to keep it alive - and that "something" should (...) (25 years ago, 13-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

duh... guess i was kinda wrong here.. IR is in reality a frequency defined from A to B. any messages sent within this spectre is said to be IR messages. so in theory sending an IR message closer to A than B from one RCX. and at the same time sending (...)   good way to detect the proximity of the RCX?

Hi I understand that Robolab has a feature to detect if the RCX is in view thru the direct mode. However, this only means it has to face toward the IR tower which connected to the PC. Then, how about the way a RCX's capability to detect the whether (...) (19 years ago, 9-Aug-05, to lugnet.robotics.rcx, lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab)
