Windows - The Lego driver does a pretty good job of making the tower look like a comm port but with a different name (\\.\LEGOTOWER1), although I believe calls to set the baud rate/parity/etc fail. I am working on a new open source control to replace the spirit.ocx, but it looks like it will be a couple of weeks before I make it available for testing. If you are interested (...) | (...) In order to warm up the tower, firmdl3 repeatedly sends out some bytes until the tower echos those same bytes back. If this fails to succeed within four seconds, you get the bad link error.
