| | Re: Driver for Linux USB Tower
|
| How did you do to specify that it is an 2.4.20-4GB-athlon kernel version? When I'm trying to compile it using : ./configure make su make install the complier says : /lib/modules/2.4.20-...usbtower.o was compiled for kernel version 2.4.20-4GB while (...) | I have the same problem (I posted a note 3 days ago "Problem with Brickos ..." # 20311). In addition I don't get firmdl3 to download the firmware. Are you running Windows or Linux? Hans (...) (22 years ago, 14-Feb-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

| | Re: ROM image using USB tower
|
| Okay, I gave in and bought one of the serial towers listed on bricklink. I now have a ROM image, but am unable to disassemble it. Whatever options I pass to h8300-hitachi-hms-objdump I get: BFD: rom.srec:12: Unexpected character `0' in S-record file (...) (21 years ago, 11-Dec-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

| | Scout programming
|
| I used BricXCC and the USB tower to program the Scout. I was wondering how the programming was done by NQC. Are the Scout and RCX command sets compatible? How so? Or does NQC translate and assemble differently depending on target brick? There are (...) (23 years ago, 26-Mar-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

| | Re: LegOS USB Support (for RCX 2.0)
|
| I would love a copy of your USB source! So far I haven't had any luck communicating with the USB tower using my own code, so any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Do you have it posted somewhere or would you prefer to email it to me (...) (23 years ago, 7-Nov-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

| Hi Don and Aaron, Any chance of sending me the patches for the USB Tower to work under Cygwin. I may be able to help get the patches working. I have some experience with Win95/98/2K. Dave W. (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jan-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

| (...) I was able to get NQC working with the USB tower under Mac OS X pretty easily. IMHO, support for an application to directly access USB devices is pretty good. If anyone is trying this, feel free to grab the OSX/USB code I wrote for NQC (...) (23 years ago, 3-Dec-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

| Just got my second RIS, a 1.5 with Serial-Tower this time. I did not installed any other software than the previous I had (Win98, JDK1.3, Lejos 2.0, USB Drivers for Lego-Tower). I have just set RCXTTY=COM1. Problem: when doing a "lejosrun -f (...) (22 years ago, 17-Jan-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.java)

| (...) Lawrie Griffiths asked me to forward the following to you: RCXPort should be about twice as fast as RCXF7Port. Do you have a serial or USB tower? I am concerned that you don't get complete reliabilty with RCXPort - I do with a USB Tower. (22 years ago, 14-Sep-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.java)
