  RCX Sensor Port and Power Supply Circuits
 
Here are my drawings of the RCX sensor port and power supply circuits, complete with measured voltages from inside the box. These are averages measured with a DMM, not an indication of peak waveforms. I might use an oscilloscope later if there's a (...) Hi Everybody, I have used SendSpybotMsg and SendSpybotCtrlMessage (of course in connection with resopective set messages) without any problems using BCC 3.3.7.5 and 3.3.7.9.   New NQC API for RCX-Spybot or RCX-RC communication
 
Recently I happened across the MindScript headers for the RCX in the SDK and saw some interesting macros for RCX communication. I decided to port them to NQC and possibly add them to the official built-in NQC API. I would be extremely grateful if (...) Hello Has anybody encountered problems using the LNP integrity API, when many frames/s are received? We are working with a image recognition system on a Linux machine that computes the position of robots and sends an integrity packet of 18bytes (...) Orient both RCXs so that they are pointing towards the ceiling. Set the RCX transmit power level to high (default is probably low power); there's probably some Lejos function to do this -- all it requires is setting one bit in an I/O register to 1. (...) I'm trying to write a BrickOS program that I can use to check the voltage on other RCXs (which use standard firmware). Hi, all, I know this might just be a shot in the blue sky, but anyway: Lego is most propably working on a new RCX system. At the Legofan site, there is a discussion about things that should be in a new RCX, and someone mentioned Bluetooth as a (...) In a semi-followup to Steve's earlier "remote battery tester"... While the standard firmware provides almost no way to get bytes into the RCX (other than "Message()", one byte at a time), it can certainly export them ("SendSerial"). And it occured (...) Ahh, now I understand why it is called a "toggle bit" - I somehow misinterpreted this to mean a new command had the toggle bit set (to 1), and if the sending unit doesn't recieve a reply it should re-transmit the command with the toggle bit (...) There's another little problem that you may need to program around. There's a bug in the ROM firmware that could end up requiring a 30-millisecond delay between when a RCX sends out a message and when you should start sending the first character of (...)
