Hi there,I live in South Africa where it is difficult to obtain Mindstorms products. Can anyone help with a circuit diagram of the Remote Control unit so that i can build mty own. It's me again with some improvements for an "Electrical Data Link between 2 RCX". In the current version I changed the default condition of the link to "high" (in the transmitter: OFF(OUT_B)) so that the receiver has a 1 at its sensor input. So, you (...) I (another newbie) also would like to upload data from the RCX to a Windows PC. It looks like adding the data to a StringBuffer would be a good way to save it, but I have not much of a clue about how to write (1) the Java that runs on the PC to (...) Thanks to Rainer for helping me with the stupid compiler bug :) Now that the PC side of LNP is working, I'm having troubles with the RCX side...   RIS SDK - Comments and questions
 
I have just started to try this - is it ever cool. I notice that the Brick options are RCX, Scout and MicroScout - Does this mean that I can program the MicroScout using the RIS Tower ? - If so, do I use LASM ? - I assume that I put it in P-mode ... I believe that i have a dead rcx, or a problem w/ the ir transmitter (doubtfull). I have a Lego Mindstorms Robotics Invention System 1.5, and have succesfully installed the firmware using the cd given along with the set. But when i try to download (...)   Good news (Bad Rcx of ir transmitter)
 
I have to share good news about my RCX and ir transmitter, I have tried just about every firmware that is available for download on the net. When using a tip from someone on the list I tried the Lego firmware 2.0 beta and got the ir transmitter anbd (...) (23 years ago, 22-Jun-01, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.robotics.rcx)

I finally have everything working, here's what I did: Installed binutils and gcc with Max Bowsher's script.   Event monitoring
 
Hi all, I have just switched to NQC 2.3 b1 (from 2.2) to implement the new features of the RCX 2.0. I have used event monitoring to clean up my if/else statements that control outputs. Henrik, Don't panic. To make sure that you have actually killed the pbForth firmware, you need to take out the batteries while it's actually running a program. Hello, I have recently downloaded the legos-0.2.6 version and have built it under windows Cygwin. when I give the command being in the boot directory where legOS.srec is export RCXTTY=USB ../util/firmdl3 legOS.srec it says USB: No such file or (...)   RIS 2.0 and Windows 2000
 
I spent a week googling about trying to see if RIS 2.0 worked under Windows 2000 or not, to no avail. I specifically asked Lego and they said it was unsupported (as expected). However, I went out and bought RIS 2.0 anyway and it's worked just fine (...) (22 years ago, 29-Apr-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Help with Windows 2000 and nqc
 
(and all of the RCXcc updates) I have been happily using Linux to write nqc programs for over a year now, but I needed to migrate back to Windows 2000 for a while. So far, I can do everything I need except program my RCX! I loaded the Mindstorms (...) (24 years ago, 8-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)
