I just purchased 20+ LEGO Mindstorm kits from DACTA (to use in a freshmen Elementary Computer Programming course) and they came with the RCX 1.0 units (with the power jack). Hello I've been having trouble with an RCX. It relates to a rotation sensor. What will happen is in the program, the motor will run until the sensor activates and instead of reversing direction like its supposed to, it continues at a slower speed in (...) One way to accomplish this is to use wireless serial devices. These RF devices allows one to hook up ANY serial device wireless. I have seen some listed on ebay for about $100+. The setup is as follows: PC--> serial transmitter serial receiver-->IR (...) (26 years ago, 26-Jul-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Hi We just got into RCX. We have been using my Palm III and Visor to control the RCX. We have this great idea but need some help. We have an old Logitech Trackman remote control mouse. It uses RF. Hi all. Well, I finally got around to checking out the problem with compiling legos with gcc 2.95.2. And the good news is, it's not a bug with gcc!! Sure you can try using just three input/output ports, but eventually you end up scaling back you designs. Of course, you can always buy another RCX to increase the number of ports, which will throw you back $200. Adding a multiplexor is such an easy (...)
