64bit driver for the LEGO USB Tower

Is it safe to say that LEGO will not be creating a 64bit driver for the USB Tower? Is there anyone here that could? What would it take? It would be really nice to have one before LEGO completely drops support for the RCX system. (15 years ago, 16-Jan-09, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

multiplex 2 touch sensors on a single RCX port

I have these 2 touch sensors multiplexing on the same input port. Their raw values are 47 and 39. I tried to set up 2 separate events, one for the range of 45 to 50 and another one for 35 to 40.
