  USB cameras

I put some info on what I have found using a camera with the Mars Expansion Pack on my small web pages. The USB cable is not a good umbilical, stiff. I had to abandon one scanning platform design just because the cable tension kept stalling it out. (...) (25 years ago, 15-Mar-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Re: RCX auto shut-off ?

I'm pretty sure that i have used the feature in the software w/o a problem to set the autoshut to another time interval, including never shutting off. I know this doesn't exactly answer the question, but maybe its a bug somewhere that will resolve (...) (25 years ago, 15-Mar-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Re: RCX auto shut-off ?

(...) It is possible in RIS and Robolab to change the powerdown set-up option without downloading this value to the RCX. If this is the case, the RCX will continue to obey the last downloaded powerdown value despite what you see in the set-up (...) (25 years ago, 15-Mar-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  RCX auto shut-off ?

Hi, My RCX shuts off automatically after about 5 min. The set-up options in the RCX software tells me its set for 15. Is this min. or sec.? I'm pretty sure the batteries are fine...it also shut down when using an adapter. Is there something else I (...) (25 years ago, 15-Mar-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

LegOS Will be in MicroMouse Compition !

Hello, I am a third year Electrical Engineering student and am currently in the process of building a robot (along with others from my class) building a rcx-based robot for the Division I MicroMouse competition. While researching the rcx I happened (...) (25 years ago, 14-Mar-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  Re: Alternative to batteries?

There are two different versions of the RCX. Unfortunately, they are both labeled "RCX 1.0". The one that comes with the Robotics Invention System 1.0 has a power adapter input and the one that comes with RIS 1.5 does not. It is possible to use (...)   Alternative to batteries?

Anyone know what I can use instead of batteries for my RCX? Some sort of AC Adapter? I saw mention of something like this here, but, couldn't figure out how it could be set up. Thanks! .josh .jburley@kuci.org (25 years ago, 13-Mar-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Re: Line endings in SourceForge

(...) The docs I've read say that line endings are handled by CVS. The central repository is always Unix style, the local one is handled as local system need (unix with LF, DOS/Windows with RC/LF).   RE: Turning power off?

(...) It's probably bad luck. Two weeks running is about normal if you're doing lots of IR downloads. The IRED takes quite a bit of current when transmitting.   Re: Question

  Turning power off?

To my dismay, I discovered this morning that the batteries of the RCX were empty. And it's sunday :-( It is possible that I forgot to turn it off, yesterday evening.   Question

I've been playing around with a crashy program as of late, and I was curious.
