  Strange...

Hello, This is my second message for today, for those who are sleeping... By the way, it's 2 PM in my little country, and today is a good, but strange day! I explain: This morning (for me), I send you a mail because I could not load pcode_hb.s19 I (...) (28 years ago, 14-Nov-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Downloading pcode_hb.s19

Hi everybody, I have got a problem when trying to download the config register, with the two ways I know: 1/ HBDL for WIN begins to download it but befire the end, it stops and writes: "Bad config register (0x0D), try again". 2/ I lunch "dlm (...)   Re: Servo_a5 (fwd)

Hi. I had to remove the CTRL-M's from the file. After I did that it loaded into IC no problem. So the MS-DOS v3.1 beta 4 of IC doesn't handle them. But I came across another problem. For the C wrapper code for the servo_a5 routines I just modified (...) (28 years ago, 13-Nov-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Maria, Can you follow the instructions for prepping ICB files at (URL) let us know if that solves the problem? I had been told that this problem was solved in the 3.1 versions of IC, but perhaps not.   Servo_a5

Hi, I'm using IC v3.1 beta 4. When I try to load the servo_a5.icb and the servo_a7.icb that I downloaded from the handyboard web page I get the following error: Fatal internal error: Illegal line in .s19 file And then it completely kicks out of IC.   Pyroelectric Detectors

I'd like to incorporate a pryroelectric IR detector into my robot design. "Mobile Robots" has some detail on sensors, but I'd like to keep it cheap.   R/C cars as robot chassis

Here is a rule of thumb to keep handy when converting R/C cars to robots; o If the R/C car used either NiCd batteries, or it had a NiCd battery pack, the motors will draw too much current for the Handyboard. This is strictly true of any controller (...) (28 years ago, 12-Nov-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: building a bot

From your post it seems that only one battery was used. It is best to have the motor(s) running from a separate battery. Apropriate capacitors for RF noise and large start up currents should be considered. Have fun! (...) Peter (...) ---...--- Ed (...) (28 years ago, 12-Nov-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Peter I tried to do modify a racer and found that the motors drew so much current that the board would continually reset.   Re: Run Time error 1

Peter: run-time error 1 is "no stack place for start_process()". This is given in the IC/Handy Board manual. The reason is your "repeat" procedure, which keeps making more processes!!
