They can. The 600mA is really 600mA-h (milliamp hours). It's a rating on
how long the pack lasts on a charge. If I recall correctly it's measured
over 20 hours. The 600mA-h pack can deliver 30 mA for 20 hours before it
goes dead, or at least something like that. Sure the pack can supply more
power but for a shorter period of time. I'm not exactly sure that's all
correct, but it's all in the battery section in "Mobile Robots". I think
it might also be in some of the HB docs. Not sure.
If i'm way off I'm sure someone will correct me. :-)
