FSMs, coding techniques and other goodies

Hi all! I know that multitasking is reducing the need for using FSMs, but in my case the tasks ended being smaller FSMs after all, and because some parts were overlapping - why not use a single large FSM? [maybe it is my own fault that FSMs appear (...) (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Implementing Finite State Machines

Hi all! I have been struggling with a fairly large FSM implementation in NQC and came to realize that maybe most of the more advanced NQC applications might be actually FSMs (or could become)...   Re: Dreaming of a European Legofest

Hi, I'm very interested in this event, so here are my thoughts. To start an event like this first thing to do is to figure out how many people are willing to attend it; this is needed to see what resources are needed in terms of space, food, places (...) But before that I'd like to see a "vote the country" one :-) This would mean we have some local user groups officially candidate to support the event. Well, actually (...)   IR proximity

I've managed to get a proximity detection working in legOS, using egcs 1.1.1 as the cross compiler. It has a very short range, and I haven't yet tested if the NQC variants have better range.
