Linc,
Here are the dates of a few of the key public mails on the subject (there
were some 40 or 50 related and semi-related messages in all):

There were various private e-mails to-from Rusell Nelson (owner/maintainer
of the lego-robotics@crynwr.com mailing list) and others as well. Basically,
this two-way link was "in the making" since before day 1 of the lugnet.com
newsgroups going live. It just took a while to figure out how to implement
it.
I guess we missed posing the topic on lugnet.robotics as a CFD, sorry. If
the internals really are a bunch of noise for non-internals people, it would
be very easy to create a lugnet.robotics.internals newsgroup. (I think this
may even have been what MattM originally suggested) and gateway the
lego-robotics@crynwr.com list there instead of lugnet.robotics.
Unfortunately, I don't know where to suggest a good meeting point would be
for such a discussion. I suppose lugnet.admin.general makes sense, since
anyone on lego-robotics@crynwr.com directly won't care what lugnet.* group
it winds up in, and if they did, they could still follow the thread on the
web.

| Todd Lehman wrote in message (...) Agreed (DAMN! I hate a man with his finger on a search engine and an archive). :) Of course my comments were directed more to the debate of the gateway within Lugnet.robotics, and not the general idea of how a (...) (26 years ago, 5-Nov-98, to lugnet.robotics)

| I am not sure if this is the right thread, or the only thread on the subject, but it seems close to what I have to say. Although the "gateway" is now here, and I *NOT* (repeat not) advocating the removal, I still want to say my two pickles. Firstly, (...) (26 years ago, 5-Nov-98, to lugnet.robotics)
