And a bit more info, from Logitech:

Customer Support Document # 30

Logitech® Product and Macintosh® Compatibility

Thank you for your interest in using Logitech Product on the Macintosh
Platform. The following information outlines Logitech's product
compatibility with various Macintosh operating systems and platforms.

Logitech QuickCam® Cameras

Hardware

The following QuickCam cameras are supported on the Mac OS with it's
accompanying software:

QuickCam greyscale
Color QuickCam
Color QuickCam II
QuickCam VC USB*
QuickCam Pro USB* (with Beige Focus Ring)
QuickCam Pro 3000

*To use USB on Macintosh computers using PCI USB cards, it is recommended
you install Apple's USB Adapter Card Support.

Please see the next section regarding compatibility of QuickCam software
with the Macintosh OS.

Software

The QuickCam Greyscale, Color QuickCam, Color QuickCam II and QuickCam VC
USB all use QuickCam software version 2.1.2. The QuickCam Pro USB uses
QuickCam software version 2.1.3. The QuickCam Pro 3000 uses QuickCam
software version 5.0 for Mac.

All cameras supported on the Mac platform require Mac OS 8.x-OS 9.0, with
the exception of QuickCam Pro 3000. The QuickCam software version 5.0 for
the QuickCam Pro 3000 requires Mac OS 9.04 through 9.21 ONLY (no OS X
support), with OS 9.1 or 9.2.1 being the recommended operating system. To
use the QuickCam Pro 3000 in the Mac OS requires QuickTime 4.x or above,
Carbonlib 1.2.5 and 64 MB of System Memory.

There will not be support for Mac OS X or later operating systems for the
QuickCam greyscale, Color QuickCam, Color QuickCam II, QuickCam VC USB, and
QuickCam Pro USB (with Beige Focus Ring); this is because no further
development is planned for these cameras.
