(...) DISCLAIMER: I've never tried this... I'd definitely avoid any kind of liquid lubricant. I'd guess that a dry graphite lubricant would work - the kind of thing that's recommended for lubricating door locks that comes with a nice thin nozzle to (...) What software runs this mailing list? I ask because I'd like to find out what it would take to get it to put the ML address into messages as the Reply-To address. I run a couple of lists myself (using 7-line SED scripts) and it seems like this (...) (24 years ago, 2-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Hello I've built a line follower which is quite fast (approx 4 secs per lap on the testpad). It consists of two motors, each powering a 2/3 geared large wheel. Looks like a form of the Killough platform on Leo Dorst's site. The rods appear to provide a 'shell' to keep the blue base from getting stuck in the v area. There are movies of the motion on Doug Carlson's site. I do not have any links handy, but (...) (24 years ago, 1-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Scott, I see this set frequently on eBay. There are six there now. Just search for "8880". I got two that way.
