Infra-red "remote control" extenders are available, used with TV remotes to enhance their range. I'm pretty sure they work with radio, though I don't know about what size they are or what power supply they use. Henry (25 years ago, 3-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

I learned a year ago that lego motors are very sensitive to drops. I had a contraption with 2 motors on my counter, and it fell off. When I tried to use it again, I discovered that they would not turn. I took them apart, and saw that the shafts had (...) (25 years ago, 3-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Hey folks, Has anyone been able to use a Thinkpad IR Port to talk to the RCX? I have been programming the RCX using spirit.ocx. All is well with the IR Tower connected to a serial port.
