Infra-red "remote control" extenders are available, used with TV remotes to
enhance their range. I'm pretty sure they work with radio, though I don't
know about what size they are or what power supply they use.

| (...) Radio shack used to sell some which looked like little pyramids with a telescoping antenna; They were about 4" tall and 3" square at the base. The power supply was something like 9V, I don't know how many mA. (24 years ago, 3-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

| While observing this thread slowly unwinding here, I would like to point out that the PC/RCX communications is bi-directional making such things as remote control extenders not really applicable.
