Radio shack used to sell some which looked like little pyramids with a
telescoping antenna; They were about 4" tall and 3" square at the base.
The power supply was something like 9V, I don't know how many mA.

| Infra-red "remote control" extenders are available, used with TV remotes to enhance their range. I'm pretty sure they work with radio, though I don't know about what size they are or what power supply they use. Henry (24 years ago, 3-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)
