  good sets?

hi, I left my boxes with Legos in Denmark when I went here to California for a while. I'm building up my collection again with mindstorms and I'm (of course) having too much fun. Anyway, I only have the RIS, a few of the lod expansion kits ("sports" (...) (25 years ago, 12-Sep-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Lego Bulk-- a solution

(...) Good idea in principle but I see some difficulties with this: a) I bet there are tons of parts that everybody wants more of. If not needed for the current project, they´ll sure come in handy at some point... ;) The surplus parts will in a (...) (25 years ago, 12-Sep-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Vision Command [cables]

USB cables aren't like the old serial or parallel port cables, where not all cables had all the "optional" pins connected. USB has only 4 wires, and that's it. So a missing wire won't be your problem. USB however is picky abou t cable length, and (...) (25 years ago, 11-Sep-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Vision Command [cables]

For some time I have used a Logitec Quick Cam Pro with the Mars set and other applications for a Lego camera, Pre-Vision Command. It has about a five foot cable. I got a 10 foot extension. It was balky about installing but did eventually install and (...) (25 years ago, 11-Sep-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Lego Bulk-- a solution

Hi I have been reading this thread with great interest and I think I have come up with a possibel solution to some of the problem. What if we held swaps or had a board for trading? I know I have pieces that I dont want such as the bug wings and the (...) (25 years ago, 11-Sep-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Vision Command

Hi Ahui I have already a few webcams working at my place, four webcams from Philips Pro 30fps. In webcam world we call that one of the private use, its the most used webcam and gives the best image. A few cams I have enlarged with a cable of 15 feet (...) (25 years ago, 11-Sep-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: I am an Idiot (was Pneumatics Are Back!)

The $59.99 price is a newer, discouted price on the Droid DK; it originally sold for $99.99, just like the Darkside DK. "Jeffrey Hazen" <jeffrey.hazen@northmill.net> wrote in message news:01C01A73.0EA01F...thmill1... (...) for (...) (25 years ago, 9-Sep-00, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) What about the new Silver Champion (#8458) with 1,412 pieces at $169.99 compared to the Super Street Sensation (#8448) with 1,408 parts at $129.99? It cost them $40 for four extra elements..? I'm a twenty-five year old LEGO fan. I've spent (...) (25 years ago, 9-Sep-00, to lugnet.robotics)

RE: I am an Idiot (was Pneumatics Are Back!)

What I found interesting in the new S@H catalog is the price difference between the (now older) Droid Developer Kit ( US$ 59.99 @ 652 pieces) and the newer Darkside Developer Kit ( US$ 99.99 @ 578 pieces). Same micro scout, different color, fewer (...) (25 years ago, 9-Sep-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Is this a pneu idea?

I have decided to give my mobile robot some serious alerting power by modifying a truck air horn for use with the lego pneumatics. I have a picture of the modified horn here: (...) compressor and a tank, and it's sure to clear my bot a path. Now I (...) (25 years ago, 9-Sep-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: I am an Idiot (was Pneumatics Are Back!)

I was wondering about this... Now that I see the parts pack, I can't help but think that this is NOT a pneumatics parts kit. This is a collection of parts that happens to have some pneumatics in it. This is a far cry from bulk pneumatic parts, Brad. (...) (25 years ago, 9-Sep-00, to lugnet.robotics)

RE: Lego bulk (was :I am an Idiot (was Pneumatics Are Back!) )

Some more thoughts on this... I recently talked to Lego customer service in Germany about single parts ordering and they said they´d do it for special purposes. But you have to pay a premium of about .25 to .5 $ per piece for the manual handling. As (...) (25 years ago, 8-Sep-00, to lugnet.robotics)

But what if I don't want or need pumps and blue tanks this month? And how many months will I wait till my favourite parts are featured?   Re: 1:10 Gear motors cheap(er)
