Re: Ever wondered what .Space looked like UP CLOSE?

(...) I use a medium-sized paintbrush for dusting Lego, it works quite well and is relatively inexpensive. (...) Very Candiru... ;-) Cheers, (URL) Sci-Fi LEGO> (23 years ago, 18-Aug-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.publish.photography, FTX)

Re: Ever wondered what .Space looked like UP CLOSE?

(...) Yup. Only its too expensive... all that money for air-in-a-bottle... and I can blow it for free. :) Oh, and here's a teaser of my new ship. (URL) -JHK (23 years ago, 18-Aug-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.publish.photography, FTX)

I've got a new camera. (URL) yes, that is an AUTHENTIC Giddens bot. :) Just to let you guys know I'm alive. I'm gonna post a new MOC soon. PLMKWYT about the images! -JHK (23 years ago, 17-Aug-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.publish.photography)

  Lego and photography...

Nice work, Philippe Hurbain! (URL) more generally: (URL) to help Bram with his Nikon 990. :-) Nice to see somebody else posting both on Lugnet and on dpreview. (You can find me on DPreview as Digijk.) This is very cool and interesting... -JHK (23 years ago, 23-Jul-03, to lugnet.publish.photography)

Re: What camera do you guys use?

(...) What an odd statement. You know, once a Lego pile reaches a certain size, new Lego is virtually unnoticeable, especially to the untrained eye. winkwink. (...) Why not? ;) That would be an interesting challenge though: build something using (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jul-03, to lugnet.publish.photography, FTX)

Re: What camera do you guys use?

(...) Maybe... :) Really, though, a fun non-Lego macro thing is insect photography, which really needs a GOOD macro. Here's some example that some guy took using the Fuji. (URL) -JHK (23 years ago, 8-Jul-03, to lugnet.publish.photography, FTX)

Re: What camera do you guys use?

(...) That's the problem. My parents have completely restricted all buying of the Brick, because they think "I already have enough Lego. Why don't I use it all?" Gosh, am I supposed to use every juniorized brick in my collection, as well as (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jul-03, to lugnet.publish.photography, FTX)

Re: What camera do you guys use?

(...) Well, this has an AC input jack and a hotshoe, if that's what you mean... (...) The high ISO was very interesting, and I can't wait until I get the camera. (In one or two months, hopefully!) I'm going to try using a few cheap slave flashes (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jul-03, to lugnet.publish.photography, FTX)

Re: What camera do you guys use?

(...) The Fuji uses 4 AA batteries, so I plan to get (or use my current) rechargable NIMH batteries. It did pretty good on pattery life, too. I believe it lasted over 3 hours, which is very good. (...) Yeah, I usually prefer AA to fancy propiertary (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jul-03, to lugnet.publish.photography, FTX)

Re: What camera do you guys use?

(...) Yeah, I definently considered the 4500. Only thing I didn't like was the small lens with limited aperatures (you need a small aperature for really close photography) and no hot shoe. But it is a very respectable camera.... (2 URLs) >> (23 years ago, 8-Jul-03, to lugnet.publish.photography, FTX)

Re: What camera do you guys use?

(...) The Fuji can take extra lenses too, in fact I'm going to try to buy a close-up filter so I can just screw it on and use the camera in normal mode zooming in. This reduces distortion and allows for easier lighting. Yeah, the Olypmus was (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jul-03, to lugnet.publish.photography, FTX)

Re: What camera do you guys use?

(...) With a nice part time job on my hands (which means an absolute surge in personal funding :), I've set my eyes on this particularal model - the Olympus c 5050 zoom; after reading sporadic reviews from a few sources (hopefully, they are as (...)   Re: What camera do you guys use?

(...) That's an impressive looking camera. Perhaps more than you need for Lego photography. If you've got a good macro mode then high optical zoom isn't as much of a necessity - you simply move the camera closer. You might consider getting something (...)   Re: What camera do you guys use?

(...) I don't know how hard it is to find these features, but it's nice to have: A power-in socket to take advantage of your camera not going about, so you don't have to use batteries. A jack for an external flash, which allows you to flash the (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jul-03, to lugnet.publish.photography, FTX)

Re: What camera do you guys use?

(...) I've been using the Coolpix 5000 for a little over a year now and am happy. The Fuji looks like a good choice but one thing I've learned w/ today's digital cameras is that they eat up batteries! I strongly suggest you look at power (...)   Re: What camera do you guys use?

(...) I have a Nikon Coolpix 4500, which is the followup to Bram's 900 series. It has an excellent macro zoom, and has enabled me to take some pretty high quality pictures. I recommended it to a Nature Photography friend of mine when he was in the (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jul-03, to lugnet.publish.photography)
