Re: Couldn't resist bringing this to your attention(s)

(...) It *is* a dirty word, though not on the FCC's infamous list. It is a slang term for feces, which is clearly inappropriate. BTW, Repeating it here probably violates LUGNET's ToS, so I replaced two letters in your quoted text with **. (...) Fine (...) (23 years ago, 3-Apr-02, to lugnet.publish)

Re: Couldn't resist bringing this to your attention(s)

(...) Since when is "crap" considered foul language? I recall that term being used quite a bit here on Lugnet. I take it to mean "garbage" or "rubbish". As for violating the TOS, I'm not sure. I don't think it does. But I also think it's (...) (23 years ago, 3-Apr-02, to lugnet.publish)

Re: Couldn't resist bringing this to your attention(s)

(...) Isn't the attempt to use it as a forum for text rather than LEGO in violation of the spirit, if not the word, of Brickshelf's rules? --Bill. (23 years ago, 3-Apr-02, to lugnet.publish, lugnet.technic)

  Re: Brickset.com receives overhaul

(...) Ah, that would explain a lot. Netscape 4 is extremely picky about having a </table> for every <table>. If you don't, it will not display the table at all. (...) Netscape 6 is a complete rewrite of Netscape 4, based on the pseudo-open-source (...) (23 years ago, 1-Apr-02, to lugnet.publish)

Re: People please stop uploading BMP to www.brickshelf.com!!!

(...) Could Brickshelf use automated conversion from BMP to PNG, if people for some reason uploads BMP files? Which problems would it introduce? Jacob (23 years ago, 1-Apr-02, to lugnet.publish)

Re: People please stop uploading BMP to www.brickshelf.com!!!

(...) I agree that BMP's are unsuited for web publishing. As you say, it is better to use compressed GIF, PNG of JPEG, depending on the kind of image. I think that most people who upload BMP's or other uncompressed image files do so out of (...) (23 years ago, 1-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.publish)

  Re: Brickset.com receives overhaul

(...) There are a couple of html problems on the home page. The one causing the problem is a <table> instead of a </table> near the end, shortly after function ValidatorOnSubmit. When this is fixed, I can load the page in Netscape 4.7 in under 15 (...) (23 years ago, 31-Mar-02, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: Brickset.com receives overhaul

(...) What version of Netscape do you use? I use Mozilla 0.9.8 and came up almost instantly. (Netscape 4.7, otoh, was hopeless.) If you're using a Netscape 6 and seeing this problem, try upgrading to a Mozilla build. (23 years ago, 31-Mar-02, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: Brickset.com receives overhaul

(...) I normally use Netscape, and it took minutes for the home page to come up, but when I fired up Internet Explorer, it came up fairly quickly. As much as I hate Microsoft for railroading Netscape, there seems to be no way to avoid using Explorer (...) (23 years ago, 31-Mar-02, to lugnet.publish)
