Well, I'm embarassingly low-tech for a professional compugeek. Right now
I'm running on a rather ancient Mac clone, so I don't have USB capability.
(I keep meaning to upgrade, but I keep buying other stuff I need/want
more...new car...digital camera...more LEGO...plus that whole saving for
the wedding thing...) If I did, a card reader would be my next purchase.
On the other hand, I'm also only using an 8 MB CF card now, so downloading
only takes a few minutes and it's not too bad to wait through, especially
since I can stick it into the background. That may get more annoying when
I get around to getting a larger card...
(If anyone out there is running on a Mac and still using a serial
connection, I highly recommend the Cameraid shareware program. Faster
downloads & batch processing of the images in all sorts of interesting
ways.)
