  Re: Brickmania withdraws from Brickshelf

(...) This analogy is so dead on that it is a shame you are using it in such an incorrect manner. No, Kevin does not own the contents of the various Brickshelf folders. However, just like a landlord he gets to say what does or does not go in them. (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jul-02, to lugnet.publish)

  Growing pains

A bit of hostility and controversy has erupted over a recent policy implementation at the BrickShelf website. If you follow LUGNET's Spotlight feature on the homepage, no doubt you've already read at least part of the discussion. If you haven't, (...)   Volenteer off-topic pix removal

Kevin, it has come to my attention that I may have questionable Brickshelf Gallery content. In my Gallery Account I have an "Exhibits" folder. Within that folder is a sub-folder called "Pheonix Rizing" I belive their may be some off-topic pix that (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jul-02, to lugnet.publish)

Re: all your base is Brickshelf's (and some random thoughts)

(...) These are generally my sentiments too. I hope the tone of my typing investigating the testamentgate coverup was not taken too seriously. I totally understand the recent developments in the online Lego landscape as fully necessary and applaude (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jul-02, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: White backgrounds?

(...) Try using the GIMP instead of Photoshop, then. I believe it can do the same sorts of things. GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) is totally free software and works on Windows as well as Linux and Unix. You can download it from (URL) William (...)   Re: Shot by the Sheriff K. Loch

(...) Oh for Christ's sake. I've stayed out of this discussion until now (it's better for my blood pressure to avoid bickering) but this is just getting ludicrous. Look, it's Kevin's web site to do with as he sees fit. Just because he hasn't (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jul-02, to lugnet.publish)

deep linking images (was Re: Shot by the Sheriff K. Loch)

Could you people lighten up a bit? Check out this post: (URL) I am mistaken about the process, I can't see how. I logged into brickshelf, uploaded my image, logged out, used the URL of the image to test the availability of it, there it was -- (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jul-02, to lugnet.publish)

Re: Shot by the Sheriff K. Loch

(...) Now there we have a rather precise definition of "censorship", haven't we? While I feel/know/hope Kevin isn't some sort of paranoid dictator and certainly should have editorial rights and options on Brickshelf, I just consider the general (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jul-02, to lugnet.publish)

Re: Brickmania withdraws from Brickshelf (and some random thoughts)

Hello Melody, You've expressed your feelings about the subject very well. I wish I could write as good as you do. But I can't, so I'm very pleased you did this. I speculate (and hope) that your post might be close to the opinion of the the silend (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jul-02, to lugnet.publish)

Re: Brickmania withdraws from Brickshelf (and some random thoughts)

My random thoughts: I have read some of the more interesting and wiser postings, and have to say that I agree with many things that have been said, some of them I couldn’t say better myself, others are just plain commonsense and then there are some (...)   Re: Brickmania withdraws from Brickshelf

(...) This was going to be a lame "me too" post, until I found something to add. Please give Kevin a break, but keep it short and sweet - the more time he spends here, the less time he has for moderating, and the more aggravation he gets here, the (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jul-02, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: Brickmania withdraws from Brickshelf

(...) I totally agree with Tim on this one. Kevin has done a tremendous job with Brickshelf, even gone as far as to create some business around it to keep it up when money was becoming an issue. It is still a free service from Kevin to us. And how (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jul-02, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: Brickmania withdraws from Brickshelf

Hi. Been out of town the last few days, but now that I'm back, I just wanted to chime in on this thread since The Brick Testament was being talked about.
