  Re: SNOT Fractional Offsets

(...) I checked these out last night. The new version, with the thin center ring, results in a flush surface. That is, the center ring is 1/2 plate thick, so that a tile on either side ends up flush with the 1x1 plate. The old ones, however, have a (...)   Re: His Majesty's Cutter "Friendly"

(...) It's a whole new world to get used to, but I've been finding it progressively easier to get a handle on. (...) That's on the books for larger vessels.   Re: His Majesty's Cutter "Friendly"

(...) An excellent opening salvo in the application of SNOT building to Pirate ships! I'm sure you're discovering a lot of the same things I did in my three SNOT vessels--especially the 6:5 ratio which will become firmly imprinted in your head as (...)   Rate which addition you'd like to see to Pirates

I was going to have this as a rate the one you'd like to see, but I figured that could turn out as meaningless with all tens, so this is a rank your preference poll. Feel free to add suggestions in replies. (URL) (22 years ago, 13-Aug-02, to lugnet.pirates) !

(...) Ahoy! Excellent, excellent work! Proof of concept! SNOT arrives in the age of sail. (I've been pressing my eye to the screen trying to get a closer look at that hull.) Did I mention it was excellent work? Well Done! Richie Dulin (22 years ago, 11-Aug-02, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: My cutter is almost ready : )

(...) I usually put a cannon on the poop deck using a 4x4 turntable. You may want a plate underneath so the cannon clears the studs on the railing. It works best if the turntable overhangs the poop deck by one stud (forward). Then you can still (...)   Re: My cutter is almost ready : )

(...) I'm not sure what the standard mount for a cannon is on the cutter (I own no "real" 6277s) but we usually moved the mast back and mounted the cannon in its place. best LFB (22 years ago, 6-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dat.models, lugnet.cad.dat.models.sets, lugnet.pirates)
