Friedrich der Grosse (was: Re: The Next Grey Monster.)

Hi all, Well, _Friedrich der Grosse_ and I are back from Fest, after several harrowing moments and a few jostles on the way home owing to a flat tire (sorry again about the bad juju, Chris!) that necessitated its removal from the trunk on the (...)   Lost pirate treasure uncovered after Brickfest

As I unpacked my Pirates Lost Island base yesterday I found a black treasure chest that contained 3 silver-plated minifig mugs. Does this belong to someone who participated in the Pirate Game? Frank? Lindsey? -- Thomas Main main@appstate.edu (23 years ago, 17-Jul-01, to lugnet.pirates)

Request for Pirate Game thoughts and Player/Ship/Captain names

Before I write my big review of the game, I thought I'd again request thoughts on the game. It would also be helpful for folks to post their ship's and captain's names (I did get most of them off the board, but the several folks who left early (...)   Re: The Next Grey Monster.

(...) Either that or your car (or will that be Chris's car?) will look like someone dumped a grey and tan K-8 in the back seat. Space wise I'm not sure this will fit into the Pirate room, you might want to drop a note to Christina so she can plan (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jul-01, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: The Next Grey Monster.

(...) Nah, I'm going to have an Army Chinook (do they still use Chinooks?) come and pull the roof off the house and carry it away... Seriously, it breaks into five sections, so I should be OK. best LFB (23 years ago, 11-Jul-01, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: The Next Grey Monster.

Another fine evening of work. Look at it go! It's now officially too big to move into another room in one piece, now that it has a stern (but no fantail yet--darn this fitting-out process!): (URL) I'm definitely in the "I don't own enough LEGO" and (...)   Re: Ship's Chandlers...

I haven't yet come up with a solution which doesn't leave an ugly gap between the two panes, but the maths always works with LEGO eventually, so (...) (...) Thanks, it's a ton of work and a ton of tan. Am I goofy for wishing there was a colder lighter tan? (Not the Belville tan, btw...) As for the ship name, I must point out that HMS Agamemnon is a "she", yet has a clearly male-originated name. (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jul-01, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Ship's Chandlers...

Hi Richard, I picked up four white ones a about 12 months ago on ebay in pirate piece lot. They came in handy for the BSB I was rebuilding.   Re: Ship's Chandlers...

Hi Richard :-) I've been on the lookout for rectangular lattice inserts for a while at Brickbay, and they come up in ones & twos every now and again.
