It's a LEGO event too, in the sense that it is happening because of LEGO,
LEGO brought us together and has made us all friends. But it's a very
unconventional one.... as you say:

I wonder if this wedding will rival other weddings that involve online

Could you clarify what you mean by that?
Most weddings I've been to (or in), once the reception is over, the bride
and groom vanish for some *very well deserved* peace and quiet. Often
directly onto the honeymoon, often to a secret hiatus for a day then off to
the honeymoon... That's as it should be, they have been the focus and NEED
that respite from attention to retain their sanity.
Once the reception is over, the guests tend to disperse. They either are
related and see enough of each other, or have nothing in common. That's most
weddings. I am hoping this is different. We all have something huge in common.
Now, it seems to me that since a lot of people will be spending good money
to get out to CA to participate in this, and if the wedding/reception is on
a saturday (http://news.lugnet.com/legoland/california/?n=204), there is
still a day of weekend left, it makes a lot of sense to "organize" something
to do on Sunday rather than just dispersing.
Are you saying that you are going to be insulted if people organise a fest
on Sunday? (you guys, hopefully, would be off getting away from the hubbub
and being together alone) That may involve organizational things like what
was done for the LLC opening day fest, where some very hard working people
organized a meeting room, organized badges, organized food, etc, etc, etc...
It took a lot of organization to make that happen. I'd hate to not be able
to do that because you'd be insulted by it. I'm pretty sure it's not what
you mean, but still.
Or did you mean something else entirely? While the ceremony is going down
and the reception is on, there ought to be *nothing* at all going on that
isn't somehow *directly* related to the wedding (minifigs at a minfig
church, yes, LDraw strategy meeting, no). To do anything else WOULD be
insulting.
Please clarify what you mean, thanks.
