 | | Help needed: my custom beards
|
| Hi guys, I'm close to producing my next batch of custom accessories and I need your opinions. Namely: what colour should I produce my beards in? To save me time from gathering opinions from different forums, I'm conducting a poll at the following (...) | Alas, someone beat me to the BIG LEGO idea.. Behold - the totally cool (URL) RP moonbuggy> Stratasys showed at SIGGRAPH this year, handled by L-PRIZE's own (URL) Tim Courtney>. Made of ABS, with some removable parts and rotating wheels. FYI, the (...) (22 years ago, 28-Aug-04, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.parts.custom, FTX)

| (...) For parts where studs cause these problems, have you considered casting them upside-down? Then the plastic will flow into the stud compartments by gravity, and the bubbles will all float up to the rim of the part. Add a few flow channels to (...) | | | | | Re: Liquid Plastics

The problem with using them to make LEGO-compatible parts is that these liquid resin plastics (like Alumilite, Micro-Mark, etc) are meant to be (...) (22 years ago, 26-Aug-04, to lugnet.parts.custom)
| | | | | Re: Might this be very very cool?

| (...) Yeah, that's the rub. Service bureaus have been around for a long time, and this isn't the first one that's been Internet based. There are places that will actually make injection molds for you over the net. It all comes down to how badly you (...) (22 years ago, 26-Aug-04, to lugnet.parts.custom, FTX)

What I've determined is the following: the LDU to mm conversion is an exact conversion However: A 1x1 brick is only 7.8mm x 7.8mm and the studs are located 8.0mm for one another (...) Jason had a pointed top arch part he had designed a while ago that he shared images of with our club... it was one of the parts that got realised and shown at SIGGRAPH and at BrickLink.
