LOCATION CHANGE!! Re: May 30th, 2009 SMART meeting

I just drove past DigiPen and there's a strong probability that the building is unavailable today. Fortunately I've been able to reserve meeting room #1 at the Redmond Regional Library, so we'll meet there instead. Redmond Regional Library Meeting (...)   May 30th, 2009 SMART meeting

The next SMART meeting is on May 30th, 2009 from 2-5pm at Digipen. This will be our last meeting before the summer. The "mini-challenge" this time is an open challenge. Basically, bring a robot! Something you're proud of! Perhaps it's a robot that (...) (15 years ago, 21-May-09, to lugnet.org.us.smart)

Re: April 25th, 2009 SMART meeting

(...) A reminder about this weekend's SMART meeting. We'll meet at DigiPen at 2pm, as usual. The mini-challenge is to build a sumo robot that can handle an immovable object (we hope :-) on the field. Don't forget the 5-second wait before moving in (...) (15 years ago, 21-Apr-09, to lugnet.org.us.smart)

  April 25th, 2009 SMART meeting

Sorry for the somewhat late notice, I've been out of town and didn't realize I hadn't posted what the next mini-challenge was yet. Our next SMART meeting is on April 25th, at 2pm at DigiPen. The mini-challenge we voted on at the last meeting was to (...) (15 years ago, 15-Apr-09, to lugnet.org.us.smart)

Re: Next SMART Meeting Feb 21

(...) Thanks for posting this, Gus. The next SMART meeting is only a week away, so I hope you've started thinking about how to build a robot that plays an instrument by now! See you next Saturday. -- David Schilling (15 years ago, 14-Feb-09, to lugnet.org.us.smart)

  Next SMART Meeting Feb 21

We had a great SMART meeting this last Saturday. Despite the difficult challenge David thought up, we had several successful robots. It was pretty amazing seeing the robots line tracking on a rough all LEGO track with scattered bricks and bumps as (...) (15 years ago, 6-Feb-09, to lugnet.org.us.smart)

Re: January 31st, 2009 SMART meeting

Unfortunately, there has not been a large response with people committing to participate in the BrickHeap Wars competition for next Saturday's SMART meeting. So instead, we'll do a simpler variation of the competition idea as a mini-challenge. The (...) (15 years ago, 24-Jan-09, to lugnet.org.us.smart)

Re: January 31st, 2009 SMART meeting

(...) I have received a number of "regrets" from people unable to make it to the BrickHeap Wars competition on January 31st (noon to 5pm), but so far only know for sure that one person will be coming, and a "maybe part of the time" from a second (...)   January 31st, 2009 SMART meeting

In about three weeks we'll be having our first meeting of the year, and it will be a fun one! We're celebrating our 8th anniversary by running a BrickHeap Wars competition! Time is sneaking up really quickly for our next meeting! The meeting will be November 15th at DigiPen from 2 to 5pm.   Re: Next challenge?

(...) I talked with David and Gus, and the challenge is to build walking robots.   Next challenge?

Is there going to be a new challenge for the next meeting, or are we going to work more on the Robot City concept? -Craig (16 years ago, 15-Oct-08, to lugnet.org.us.smart)

Re: September 27th SMART meeting at Redmond Library

(...) BrickCon has probably a dozen or more LEGO themes represented. Each theme is on a set of tables. SMART is hosting the MINDSTORMS robotic display. We'll be at the back of the room, near the curtains. The public hours for BrickCon are from 11 to (...) (16 years ago, 2-Oct-08, to lugnet.org.us.smart)

Re: September 27th SMART meeting at Redmond Library

(...) So, any details around exactly what we will be doing and when? I've never been to Brick Con so have no idea how it works or where the SMART display would fit in. I looked at the schedule and it seems like people will be moving their stuff in (...) (16 years ago, 1-Oct-08, to lugnet.org.us.smart)

Re: September 27th SMART meeting at Redmond Library

(...) BrickCon is definitely a "go", and SMART will have some sort of display there, though I'm not sure it will be a robot city as we originally planned. Thanks to everyone who made it to the meeting, and worked hard building robots and writing (...) (16 years ago, 29-Sep-08, to lugnet.org.us.smart)

Re: September 27th SMART meeting at Redmond Library

Re: September 27th SMART meeting at Redmond Library

(...) Sorry for not replying sooner, I was hoping to have some code to share sooner, but it's still not ready. When it is, it will deal with detecting intersections and line tracking. In any case, if you can just make sure that your robot is capable (...) (16 years ago, 21-Sep-08, to lugnet.org.us.smart)

Re: September 27th SMART meeting at Redmond Library

(...) David, Are any additional details of how the SMART-Bot City robots supposed to work published somewhere?
