Re: New Hope Valley Railroad LEGO Train Exhibit

Excellent comments - let's keep a good dialog going. I am okay with ZNAP - I bought four sets for the sole purpose of building some sort of bridge. My efforts are on a smaller scale though as my bridge is only four pieces of straight track long. I (...) (24 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.org.us.nclug, lugnet.loc.us.nc)

My chop saw can cut 4'x4's. It's got a 10" blade. I don't have a circular saw, but it's fun to buy power tools, so I may look into picking one up if no one has one now. The module plans are at: (URL) looks like there's no glue, only screws (although (...) (24 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.org.us.nclug, lugnet.loc.us.nc)

Re: New Hope Valley Railroad LEGO Train Exhibit

Sounds like a good idea, though one problem I have right now is that I would have no place to store tables, but would like to own some. If someone had space to store my tables, one advantage would be that we would have a set of tables which don't (...) (24 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.org.us.nclug, lugnet.loc.us.nc)

Re: New Hope Valley Railroad LEGO Train Exhibit

Sounds great. If I can arrange to be in town for the June/July date, I'll gladly participate. I have plenty of straight track and points that I could bring for a trial garage setup and a show. My current layout is 3 4'x8' tables that hold as much (...) (24 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.org.us.nclug, lugnet.loc.us.nc)

Re: New Hope Valley Railroad LEGO Train Exhibit

A while back when we had hoped to do a show at Dorton Arena or the Raleigh Civic Center (I can't recall which) we (Frank Filz, James Beerman, and myself) agreed upon using the PNLTC style wooden tables. This makes sense for several reasons among (...) (24 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.org.us.nclug, lugnet.loc.us.nc)

Re: New Hope Valley Railroad LEGO Train Exhibit

I'm willing to build a table or help build a table. Frank has mentioned that the table type has already been chosen; I know it's a standard train club plywood table but I don't recall where the plans are. It'd be great Mike if you'd take the lead.   Black & White Metroliner-like Train

I uploaded some pictures of a black and white Metroliner-like train I have been working on lately. It is basically finished although I would like to add one more Club Car to it.   New Hope Valley Railroad exhibit in limbo

A while back I reported receiving a fairly favorable response from the New Hope Vallley Railroad about setting up a LEGO train exhibit during one of their train runs (hoping for May 7th).
