Hi, all.  It looks like we're set for Saturday, March 23rd at noon in
Cortland.  We can order pizza (or something) when we get there.

In terms of set-up, I think it might work best to use the tables in the
basement for layouts.  That way stuff isn't down on the floor and this
should provide plenty of space.  I plan to bring a decent-sized layout of
12V track (with remote control switches, etc.--it's a fun challenge to
operate!).  I think it would be great if others brought 9V stuff and town
stuff as well, but I don't plan to provide 9V track (I probably can grab a
little rolling stock, though).  The carpet do sound fun, Ed, though they
might not be quite as necessary on the tables.

Please, post trade wants!  I'll try to get mine up soon.  One item I have to
trade (or sell) which I can list right now is an 8458 Silver Champion (built
once and disassembled so it's almost new, with box and instructions).  I'd
consider trades for train stuff or sell for a fair price (not necessarily
near MSRP).

As for activities, I'd be happy to hear about the train show Ed made it to a
few weeks back, and of course everybody should bring MOC's to share!  One
idea I had is that we could try to design cars or B-units for the Super
Chief and run them together, or for the townies, see if you can find a neat
building design from the Southwest that would look good with a Super Chief
next to it.  (I have to admit I may not have time to do this...maybe next
week!)  If anybody can come up with a fun game or Lego trivia, all the better.

I'm looking forward to seeing meeting many of you in a couple of weeks!

Alan

Hi Alan - (...) Hey - how about I bring my LEGO carpet? I've got two styles - one's a 4'x8' contiguous roll of various LEGO Town scenes, and the other's the puzzle piece style with numerous interlocking elements. I guess the two can cover an 8'x8' (...)
