  Found some skirting

I found some of that light weight table cloth material we discussed last Sunday. They didn't any green but I bought some Blue that looks really nice. It comes in 40 inch x 100 foot rolls. I bring it this Sunday and let everybody take a look at it to (...) (21 years ago, 4-Sep-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

  September meeting announcement

Next meeting is again at Steve M.'s barn, Sunday, September 14th from 2:00 until Steve tells us to go home. The formal meeting time usually coincides with the arrival of supper. Anyone have ideas for supper? I think we should do chili soon, but (...) (21 years ago, 4-Sep-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

  August, 2003 IndyLUG meeting minutes

We met on a kind August day, the 14th. Even the flies seemed to be more forgiving than usual. Brian Alano, Leah Cardaci, Steve McDonough, Steve Martin, Thomas C Coleman II, Jeramy Spurgeon, John C. Moore, Selena Miller, and Mark Peterson gathered, (...) (21 years ago, 4-Sep-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

Re: Versions 2 and 3 of micromotorized crossing gates.

(...) That's what a RCX with a extra light sensor is for (or homemade light sensors). Either option beats the pants off how I did my first automatic crossing system- it was a electrical kludge (and I still can't think of a better way to do it- in (...)   Re: Versions 2 and 3 of micromotorized crossing gates.

Awesome looking crossing. I like the small size of the motors. What do you use to control this? I was in a hobby store last week looking at DCC stuff and they had crossing sensors for this sort of thing. Also, what happens with the gate is down? Do (...)   Re: Versions 2 and 3 of micromotorized crossing gates.

Thanks for the positive feedback. I think I like the red one better. I think it's the minimalist in me. But black seems to be a more traditional color. Now, who wants to trade me 10 black 2 x 2 radar dishes? I only have 2, so I had to swap them (...) (21 years ago, 2-Sep-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug, lugnet.trains)

Re: Versions 2 and 3 of micromotorized crossing gates.

(...) I agree, very spiffy. Crossings get gates at various points in history, based on local grousing, the railroad's capital budget, the actual traffic observed at the crossing, federal or state highway funding etc etc so there's certainly lots of (...)   Re: Versions 2 and 3 of micromotorized crossing gates.

(...) Now that's cool looking! I like them both ,,, red and black. you should use them both on the layout. Brian D (21 years ago, 31-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug, lugnet.trains)

Versions 2 and 3 of micromotorized crossing gates.

I've made a couple new models of the crossing gates. With the black one, I tried to hide the red motor. With the red one, I tried to make my peace with the red motor. I'd like to use one or the other on the IndyLUG layout for the Indy GATS, but it (...) (21 years ago, 31-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug, lugnet.trains)

  Build Session Sunday August 31

Good Evening Fellow IndyLUGgers, I see David is going to be at the build session around 3:00. I'm planning on getting there at 2:00. How 'bout everybody else? Brian D (21 years ago, 31-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

Re: [Fwd: "What Will You Make?" Event Kits!]

(...) I would like to point out that a club doesn't have to be an "LTC" to be a member of ILTCO. A club only has to do 1 train show every 9 months to be an affilate club or 2 train shows a year to be an active club. (1) If you guys were interested (...) (...) I do believe I'll nominate him as soon as the constitution is approved! (21 years ago, 28-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

Re: [Fwd: "What Will You Make?" Event Kits!]

(...) Why don't you contact John Neal at ILTCO and ask him what we should do? We aren't an LTC, but if the LTC kits are slightly different, we should get that version because we are doing a train show. Plus, we still need catalogs. Regards, SteveM (21 years ago, 28-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

Re: [Fwd: "What Will You Make?" Event Kits!]

(...) The main reson I thought we should get one spoken for is that Jake mentioned a Limited number of kits, and since were a LUG not a LTC we don't have to go through ILTCO.org site. mark (21 years ago, 28-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

  Build date -7 weeks left

I might not be there on sunday Aug.31st since it is a holiday weekend and I can work. I'll post if anything changes. mark (21 years ago, 28-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

Re: [Fwd: "What Will You Make?" Event Kits!]

(...) I don't think that's a requirement/restriction. And, I believe there are a limited number of kits. At the very least, it would be nice to have the stand-ups at the show in Oct. All the rest of the stuff is just gravy... Steve (H) (21 years ago, 28-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

Re: [Fwd: "What Will You Make?" Event Kits!]

(...) Thanks, Mark, but why don't you hold off just a bit. We need to talk about some things first (to wit: Are we going to form a LTC within IndyLUG?) Thanks for jumping in though. BrianA, I do believe he wants your job! ;-) SteveM (21 years ago, 28-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

I will be able to come to the next build session (Aug. 31), since I have that Sunday off from work. I'll probably get there about 3:00. I know that we need more green 32X32 baseplates, but do we need very many blank ones? (By "blank ones" I mean (...) (21 years ago, 26-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

  Museum venues

I've had a couple people mention to me, less than half-seriously, the idea of having an IndyLUG display in a museum. In particular, the Children's Museum of Indianapolis and the Evansville Museum ((URL) Is this idea worth pursuing? (21 years ago, 22-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)
