  Re: Cargo Containers

(...) "Real" containers only have one set of doors... (...) To save your 1x4x3 panels try building containers like the ones found in the 6542 Launch and Load Seaport (Nautica). They only use two 1x4x3 panels, one on each end. (...) I'll have to try (...) (24 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Re: Building plans

(...) Yup. It is completely non-intrusive, and doesn't go near the Windows registry. Simply unzip the file, and plop it into a folder somewhere. Create a shortcut to he td.exe file and you're away. Don't want it anymore, delete the folder. Clean and (...) (24 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Track Plan - final version?

(...) Excellent idea, but in my mind's eye, I see a whole lot more buildings and layout than what you've represented in "Building layout.jpg". Also, I don't think we have to stick so religiously to the square baseplate structure. Perhaps you've (...) (24 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Track Plan - final version?

(...) I adjusted the road plates with file 15d. I tried to change the colours and to move the road on the left as to not go across the tracks in a nasty area. Now it branches off from the airport road and moves East. Dean -- Coin-Op's For Sale!: (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Track Plan - final version?

(...) I tweaked. The updated tdl is v-D0014K.tdl; JPEG version of that is v-D0014K..jpg (so people can see it without Track Designer) and the jpeg with building labels (including lots of ???'s) is "Building Layout.jpg". All on our X-drive. Kevin (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Track Plan - final version?

(...) OK, in that case I'm going to tweak a little more with that in mind, then make a .jpg of the layout so everyone can see it and we can put labels on places where buildings will go.   Re: Building plans

(...) The 747 is excellent. I dunno about teh space shuttle, it depends how realistic we want this to be :-) (...) Yes! I volunteer Bryan to build the mountain :-) (...) Good. (...) That's the one. I have 2 of those as well. I think we just need (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Re: Rolling stock plans

(...) Never mind, it's better than messing around cobbling one up. It's going to be in motion, no-one will peer closely at it. Kevin ---...--- Personal Lego Web page: (URL) Park: Limited edition kit (URL) Kits & Custom Lego models: (URL) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Track Plan - final version?

(...) Excellent, I'll stop worrying about that then. (...) I've got 3 sets of the ramps, so we should be OK even if we change the plan. Kevin ---...--- Personal Lego Web page: (URL) Park: Limited edition kit (URL) Kits & Custom Lego models: (URL) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Re: Rolling stock plans

(...) Hehe no. You wouldn't wanna buy it. (I got it used) It's condition isn't all that great... The clear glass parts are kinda scratched up. Even after I cleaned it up, I would rate this as a 6 or 7 out of 10... Bryan (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Re: Building plans

In lugnet.org.ca.vlc, Kevin Wilson writes: Great list guys! Personally, I haven't seen the layout myself since I don't have Track Designer (I should go download it). (...) I've got Shuttle Transcon II (6544?) so it has a blue "747" and a space (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Re: Rolling stock plans

(...) Oh yeah I've got a club car (4547) too... And 1 4561 Railway Express if that helps. :) Bryan (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Re: Rolling stock plans

(...) 4 high (L,w,h) I have over 70 containers (including the ones from 4565's) built up. I mostly use the 1x4x3's for open containers (such as the engine at: (URL) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Track Plan - final version?

(...) Yes, I have at least 21 of them. I can borrow more. I've been keeping an eye on the numbers required of all the monorail parts, and we're covered with plenty to spare. Oh, with the possible exception of the sloping ramp pieces. I've allocated (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Building plans

Robin posted a great list so I'm going to shove it in here, with comments: SW west corner - airport w/ monorail and train station, airplanes, helicopter, limos, taxis, luggage, tarmac vehicles (fuel truck, luggage cart, firetruck, plane "mover"), (...)   Re: Rolling stock plans

(...) I already do this. heh (...) Yes, I was taking those into account. My 4565's in blue and yellow etc. take up some of my plates. (...) You don't have to use thin walls, 1byX work just fine if you are not going to open them... And if you are (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Track Plan - final version?

(...) In layout 13 I put 4.5 volt blue cross tracks to signify where buildings were. This is so we can fill up the areas and know what's still free... Dean -- Coin-Op's For Sale!: (URL) Lego Workshop: (URL) Lego Club: (URL) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Track Plan - final version?

(...) Robin, one question that was in my post that got lost was: do we have enough short monorail track pieces? I don't have any at all and the layout uses quite a lot (14 with this layout, changes could use more). Do you have lots? Kevin ---...--- (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)
