'K folks,

I'm a-coming to Train2, and I'm bringing some modules. No, no - please,
keep the applause down :P

Here's my proposed layout:

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=51314

As you can see, I'm going to do modules C1, M1, M2 and M3.  The layout
is a little strange for a couple of reasons:

1)  I'm using 1/2 modules as well as 3 full ones.  I noticed that after
cutting 3 modules out of a 4x8 sheet of plywood, I've got 3 half-modules
left over.  I'm using two of these - one at the end of my layout, the
other in place of M3 in order to allow for longer bridges.

2) Calum's track positions are a little funny, so I'm adapting to that.

3) Everything is elevated:  the outer mainline slopes down from 2
bricks at the bridge to 1 plate... the inner mainline peaks at 6
bricks... the short siding is level at 4 bricks... the long siding
climbs to a peak of 16 bricks.

Since I'm in love with elevating track, I've done it in my design.
I'm trying to build a mountain, and the track goes variously up,
around and through the mountain.  Here's a side view (from "North")
of a half-built module M1

You can see the tunnel entrance (Camera-car compliant), a retaining
wall, and an elevated segment, as well as some other track in the
background.

Here's another view, looking along the outer mainline into the tunnel:

Calum.... I could sure use all those green bricks you aren't using...

And here's half of M2, also from the "North" ... not much done yet
except track placement and some retaining wall...

(...) Hi Jeff, you have a big project on hand, a few comment here, your track are slope are a little steep, looking at the picture, it 's look like you a 1 brick/track elevation, you should limit to 2 plates/track. My bridge that I brougth at Train (...) (23 years ago, 27-Jun-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
