Its a ~1026:1 gear ratio in an area of 4 x 5 x 4 bricks!!!!! worm to 14 tooth (the old bevel gears, maybe those were the 12 tooth ones) to worm to 14 tooth to worm to 14 tooth to worm..... (...) Well, its all inside the battery box. the only thing coming out is the ribbon cable on the left side of the photo. And for Iain, that's a 7809 Positive 9 Volt Voltage Regulator.
