hi... just letting everyone know that I took some more shots, and here is the latest views. I am 85% of it done at this point....still waiting on a shipment of (brown)roofing material from the (plastic) building supplier. The pics were uploaded to (...)   Re: Train3, Is there still space for me?

(...) Not at all! A chapel sounds great! I've asked Iain to bring a second spacer. So we'll have two spacers, one on each side. One spacer will likely include a switch to link to Dave's yard. Anyone have 12 pieces of straight to put onto the second (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Timelapsing was Re: Train3, Is there still space for me?

(...) Not necessarily. I'm not sure if the Digital8 has it, but most Sony 8mm cameras have a 2x playback function that's pretty clean. My Sony SVHS has a 2x playback, so I guess I could dub it in at realtime, then capture it at 2x. (...) I have a (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: My Entry -- Re: Project X and game play

(...) That could be slightly hazardous to the robot's health... :) (...) I wonder what happened to Chris' old tag line: "see new robot walkers at xxxxx.com"? Ben (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: SW minifigures

(...) If you can spare a Qui Gon and an Obiwan, I'll bring 2 "standard" minifigs from my collection....with the plain, regular smiley face. I won't be able to make it to the dinner, (at least I don't think so), since this weekend I have Guard Drill. (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: My Entry -- Re: Project X and game play

(...) How about a Bridge Too Far. Going with the Scrap Heap Challenge theme, we could do bridging robots. Set a fixed distance between two tables, and an initial robot size that is smaller then the gap. Your robot must make it from one table to the (...)   SW minifigures

Anyone want some Star Wars minifigures? I have a number of them-R2D2, C3P0, Qui Gon Jinn, Jar Jar, and Obiwan.* If anyone would like them, I'll bring them to Friday's dinner. It'd be cool if you could bring in Town figures in trade, but even if not, (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Train 3 Height and Width

(...) 2x2, I think. I think Chris helped me chop them down to 24 inches each (eight feet). I drilled in three holes in each, making the spacing about 21-22 inches between each module. I bolted them in an offset fashion (one on each side on the (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: My Entry -- Re: Project X and game play

(...) Thanks! I had fun (...) Of course, I have nuttin' to say about snivving ideas for there was Bruces' ideas, Iain's ideas a,d a slew of others that I somehow amalgamated into Runamok 'bots. (...)   Re: Train 3 Height and Width

(...) :) I was thinking of that just last night..... I think I will need to do some module stacking (RTL 11???). Calum, did you use 1 x 2 peices of plywood to stack your modules? What am I going to do when I want to build more modules... (because I (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Project X and game play

(...) If the robot has to start off the board and end off the board, this ruins my feeble plan. I do have an idea to compinsate for this, but I'd like to know. Meanwhile, I'm scared. I'm not having fun learning NQC, and I want to go back to RCX1.0 (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Jealous

(URL) the video of the Gantry Robot. SIGH. (ATS is like a 10 minute drive down the 401 from Ventax. It's good they cover a different automation sector than we do.) That robot is FAST. Iain (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Video on CD

I suppose this is directed at Calum, or possibly Iian: Will the train videos in particular (and to a lesser extent, the robotics events videos) be available on CD (for those of us tortured souls with dial-up access)? There was some talk of this a (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
