Re: Train 2 Layout, Week 1

is it bad form to lay claim to an open module then, not show up with anything (smirk) (23 years ago, 16-Jun-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Train 2 Layout, Week 1

Okay, here's cut number 1 of the Train2 layout. If there was ever a point to owning a Matrox G450 DualHead video card, train layouts would be it :) In fact, I have the layout on my right monitor, and Lugnet on the left... (URL) you can see, it (...) (23 years ago, 16-Jun-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Lennon Mosaic

Thanks, guys. If you want, there is a brick paper template on Lego's site: www.lego.com/graph I found that my printout was actually slightly imperfect, but that might have been a printer setting, not sure.. I printed mine on really thin paper (...) (23 years ago, 16-Jun-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Lennon Mosaic

(...) Perhaps someone one took a picture of your Lennon mosaic at the dinner? or you would be willing to take one and post it? I am a most curious longtime Lennon/Beatles fan and would love to see your Creation... tia sheree (23 years ago, 16-Jun-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: mels' dinner

I think 14 bricks would be safer.... although I just built a train wagon that was 15 high..... (I will be making it shorter) hopefully 13.   Re: Lennon Mosaic

(...) Hi Eric, The mosaic was REALLY cool. Now that I have a reference to the original artwork, it's even more impressive. Good work! Calum (23 years ago, 16-Jun-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: mels' dinner

(...) I would say, at minimum 13 bricks tall. Iain will let us know the exact height of his Elura/Flatbed combo, as that's likely the tallest non Lego creation, but I came to 13 as the 4552 Rail Crane needs a clearance of 13 bricks, and that's the (...)   Re: mels' dinner

here's a question... what's the clearance we're striving for for our trains, i.e. if i want to build a bridge or walkway like Jeffs in the last show, what's the clearance you want so all your rolling stock can fit under it. just wondering... please (...)   Track elevation

Hi guys, In planning modules, I've been taken with the idea of elevating some portion of the track. So I did some math to determine how much difference sloping a track makes in its run length. I typically use a slope of 2 plates per segment when I (...) (23 years ago, 15-Jun-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: My Train2 Module Layouts

(...) I guess we'll need to sit down and try some layout ideas tonight. Everyone bring their layouts on floppy if they can! Calum (23 years ago, 15-Jun-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: My Train2 Module Layouts

(...) I'm hoping not...I am planning on having an "independant" 3rd line around the town for the mass transit system for it. (though I could also adapt it for the 3rd "Global" circuit / loop / line / whatever you want to call it.) Benjamin Medinets (23 years ago, 15-Jun-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: My Train2 Module Layouts

are we going with the 3 rail lines thru the modules? my layout would work better if it had the third rail line 40 down from the edge as Calum's quick pic showed. though i'm adaptable... just wonderin' dave (23 years ago, 15-Jun-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: More LEGO dreams

(...)
