  Re: Bots and Trains!

(...) Thanks! I'll have the deneros pour vous tomorrow. Then I'm going to be dedicating myself more to trains than 'bots (oh no says the technicies) yep, gone over to the dark side of the force... it's so much greener on this side of the fence. i (...)   Re: DCC question

(...) The installation isn't actually too hard. It just requires you pull out several tabs and tear apart the motor. (...) Word is not all DCC likes to play nice with each other, so we're going to have to do smore research. Someone (I guess me) will (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jun-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  DCC question

I went to my local hobby shop this morning and saw their limited selection of decoders.... They do have DCC compatible decoders (N-Scale) and a couple others.... not Digitrax .... I didn't buy it because I am not that good of an "electrician" so (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jun-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  havin' fun with trains

.....I took out my motor out of 7745 (High Speed Train).... the one with a brand new 9V motor .... and attatched it to the 7722 that arrived today .... of that was so much fun ....   Re: Trains and Brains (no Autopoints)

Hey Tim.... Did you see this: (URL) the skeleton of a metroliner....this would an interesting way of finally getting a working metroliner!!! Seriously, though... I still can't believe someone was selling 2 metroliners for under $200....I think that (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jun-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Trains, Brains and Auto-points

(...) I just happened to build an automated switch last night from someone's posted instructions. However, I didn't have the right Technic reducing gear and had to improvise, and I don't have the new motor, so I had to use the old style. (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jun-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: train layouts

(...) like to post on Lugnet :) Benjamin Medinets (I wonder if I started commenting on robotics...whether people would name part of their robot after me... :) ) (23 years ago, 7-Jun-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  reply about robot tape width

Iain: You sent me e-mail asking about the width of the tape on the game board. This is what I have decided to do. 1. put down a strip of grey DUCT tape over the gape in the board. This might help pushy robots. 2. put down 2 strips of 3/4" black AC (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jun-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: train layouts

(...) Oh sure..... everyone wants to name a part of there train module Magno something or other.... If this keeps up MOST of Train 2 will be a town named after me.... COOL! :) Chris Visit my newly revamped walker page @ (URL) (23 years ago, 7-Jun-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Trains, Brains and Auto-points

Hey guys, I was gazing with great bliss and complacency at your TD switching yard layouts when it suddenly occurred to me that perhaps -- just perhaps -- you had not experienced the wonder and joy of fully automagic remote points. And if there (...) (23 years ago, 6-Jun-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Reset from 0

(...) Wow! Thats dedication! I need to spend some more late nights on mine(wish I didn't have to go to work...) I can't wait to see the other robots, since this was such an open ended game. Like Calum mentioned, you can go about solving this problem (...) (23 years ago, 6-Jun-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Reset from 0

(...) At first I thought you guys were talking about surge protector. Too bad they don't have locks for our RCX. I will just keep it in my pocket. :) I stayed up till 5am last night to completely take apart the old bot and rebuild it. It is looking (...) (23 years ago, 6-Jun-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: train footage

(...) Doh....oh well, maybe next time....at least you have some cool sets like the 2126...that thing is way, WAY overpriced usually on E-bay. I am also looking to get a 9V train station in red....the 2150 or something like that... I was inspired at (...) (23 years ago, 6-Jun-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: train footage

(...) Well, I didn't make it home in time, and someone else got that one. Maybe next time. I decided to open my MISB 2126 today, to build more train cars. I'm trying to duplicate the red hopper from 4564 right now. Play well. Tim Strutt 8^) (23 years ago, 6-Jun-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: train layouts

(...) you? :) If you're going to build a switchyard as your contribution to the layout, should I not build one? I'm trying to avoid duplication. I could do something else with my modules instead, like an airport, a train station (perhaps inspired by (...) (23 years ago, 6-Jun-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
